Wi-Fi not connecting?Support

    i am not able to connect to my college WPA/WPA2 password protected wi-fi network:cool:,
    My phone scans, i get the network ,i key in the password then it displays obtaining IP address but then after 1 min it shows unsuccessful:confused:,
    Does galaxy 3 not support WPA/WPA2 network or is it my phones problem or does my college's network does not support my phones wi-fi?
    Are u guyz able to connect to WPA/WPA2 password protected networks?:(

    It's a problem on your network.

    I can connect fine to several WPA and WPA2 networks.

    Are any special files to be downloaded or can we directly connect to wireless network,Is there a special wi-fi router for mobile devices?
    what should i do to solve this problem?

    You don't need anything special. Try connecting to an open network to see if that works? All wifi software is already on the phone.

    You could try contacting the administrator of the wifi network. Probably the issue is on their network.. Not on your phone.

    To make sure, try connecting to a different network..

    Hey THNX for the reply.
    I tries connecting to a open network i was able to connect but y am i not able to connect to WPA/WPA2/WEp network.
    I have never tried connecting to a WPA/WPA2 network other than my college network!!!!!!!!as there are not many networks available here,so what shud i do?:confused:

    You can only contact the network admin of that network. Something's not allowing you to get an address.. Nothing you can do about it..

    Hey Stoffel thnx for helping me,and sry for late post.
    The problem was not with the phone ,actually my college uses a static IP address,after i enterred it in advanced setting the problem was solved
    I can connect easily now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
