Wifi Immediately Disconnects

Hello there,

I'm having an issue with my android - it's a Samsung Galaxy 551. Whenever I try to connect to Wifi it connects, but only for 2 or 3 seconds, and then disconnects. It does this every time without fail.

I read some other threads and most suggested it was probably something up with the router, however it does this no matter which Wifi I try to connect to. Also, it's not because the connection is weak; I have full bars.

It's possibly there's some special settings I have to make and don't know; I'm not tech savvy at all.

Anyways, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know!

I have seen that happen before. Not fun. Especially if you don

Have you tried soft resetting the device by removing the battery and then putting it back in?

Otherwise you might want to factory reset it and see if this can fix the issue.
