Wifi is On But Can't Download Apps

I know this is not a new issue, but it's really bugging. I installed ADSL last week and my internet works fine (sometimes, I'm thinking about getting a new router, this one is cheap), even on my phone (Samsung Google Nexus S), except when I'm trying to download apps on Play Store. It keeps waiting for download for ages and won't do anything.
I've seen several people here with the same problem, so I guess it's not an odd thing, but they can't seem to have found a solution either.
My router is an ADB and it works fine when it's loading pages on my phone, except downloading apps from the market.
Any help please?

Go to Menu>System settings>Apps> All & Clear cache and data for Google play store. Then do a reboot.

Maybe this helps, it will ask you to accept the agreement again and it will ask for an update.

Still the same. Nothing changed.
Keeps looking like it's going to download, but it doesn't.

Do you get the progress bar, then nothing?

Connect your phone to your PC, copy across the folders Android_secure and LOST.DIR. Once done, disconnect your phone from the PC, delete those folders from your phones SD Card, reboot the phone then try again.

I encountered a similar issue a while back on one of my previous handsets and that sorted it for me.

You mean, copy those files to my PC and then delete them from my SDCard? I guess I can do it with SD Maid, right?

Yeah copy both folders, just so you have them as backups.

You could delete them with any file explorer, or you could even do it with Windows whilst the phone is connected to your PC.

I just did and it stayed the same. I wish I knew why this happens to so many people and at the same time the solution is not the same to everyone.

Still the same. Rebooted my phone and everything is the same. I'm trying to update my apps and the bar is always on waiting status. *sigh*

Please, guys, I really need help with this!
My wifi connection is great, but Market keeps doing this thing. I just can't download or update apps. All the rest works just fine.

What's your Google Play version? It should tell you via the settings page.

It's 3.10.9

I think I gave up. I can't think of any other solution. I ended up downloading Aptoide. I know it's risky, but at least downloads work there. I believe it's a Google Play Store problem, definitely it's not my phone or ADSL connection.
