Stop the presses!!!
I changed the Wireless Channel on my router from '6 - 2.437Ghz' to '1 - 2.412Ghz' and now my Optimus V connects and stays connected using WPA2!
My wifi just stopped working, and resetting the router and tinkering with the phone's settings did nothing. I changed the channel and it fixed the problem. Thanks!
I checked with the wifi analyzer app and found several channels that were in a high range, so do get the app and check for one rather than blindly changing channels. it's free.
