How do I connect to my router at home? I assume its for the best to do when I am at home (better battery life, faster, etc.) but I can't get it to connect.

I have a 2wire router and the only time I've ever used the wireless internet is with my buddies xbox 360. All we had to do there is type in the number code that was on the bottom of the router. When I type this code in on the Droid X it looks for an IP address but is unsuccessful, even when I am sitting right next to it.

Does anyone now how I can get this to work?

I probably left out info you need to help me too, so if you need anything just ask.

When you initially set up your router you should have had to rename it, from its default name (usually linksys, d-link, etc) and then set up encryption passwords to secure the router. Assuming you did all that, make sure wi-fi antenna turned on, then go into menu -> settings -> wireless & networks -> wi-fi settings on your phone. it should list all the available wireless networks in your range. select your router and enter password and it should connect.

    good luck

I didn;t set up this router. Also the only code I;ve ever used is the one on the back (all numbers, by serial number) to connect an xbox 360. When I put in this coe where you told me to I just get a message that I can't fid an IP. Do you know where I could find the code you are talking about.
