Anybody know? If so, anybody know a way around this.

I am in love with this phone, I use AT&T and am hoping to get it this spring when it releases.

Well, they've already done it to two Android phones, so... Could be that HTC will have more clout than Motorola or Dell and will insist on not having the Desire loaded with crapware, but I dunno.

You can always root to get around that sort of thing.

You have to remember that they screwed Nokia over even though Nokia is the #1 mobile phone manufacturer, so fat chance HTC will have standing up to AT&T

It will undoubtedly have the limitations of the Backflip, but we can always root. AT&T has control issues...
