Will rooting allow me to do these things?

Hi all, I'm thinking about rooting my samsung galaxy s3 mini, because of a few annoyances I'd like to change. Can anyone let me know if I'll be able to make these changes after rooting?

1. disable the automatic volume reduction when headphones are plugged in

2. disable the warning about raising the volume too high

3. disable the audio sound when I get a low-battery notification (but ONLY for this notification)

4. remove various AT&T apps that I have no use for (browser bar, some sort of games app, etc)

thanks in advance!

Simply rooting will not allow you to adjust the audio features of your phone. You'll either need to find an app that does that, or a custom rom that supports those features and flash it over your current firmware.

It will allow you to remove the carrier apps, however, let me offer a word of caution. Many apps provide services for other parts of the OS and if you remove them, you can disable certain features or make your phone unusable. More importantly, system apps are not easily restorable like simply installing an .apk file. And once deleted, even a factory reset will not recover them. You will have to locate and flash a stock rom image to get them back. If you plan on rooting and deleting those apps, please check back here first before you do anything so we can make sure it's safe for you to delete those without any negative impact to your phone.

Everything lunatic said is true. But there are careful ways if rooted to remove those ugly apps. You have some reading to do. Look up A custom recovery for your phone(cwm) or other and Titanium Backup. Nothing is perfect. But if you take the right precautions and backup. Most of the time. Your fine. Just read, read, read, and ask...
