Will you buy the Evo outright, would you get a cheaper plan?

    Just curious if it's the same with Sprint as it is with T-Mobile.

    No. Not the same. Plans are the same whether you pay fullprice or are subsidized.
    I think what T-Mobile basically does is charge installments for the phone.

    nope, plans are the same, you are just not locked into a 2 year contract

    Yeah, in my opinion this is the best thing about T-Mo. Not having a subsidy means less to pay off and theoretically should mean lower monthly bill. Wish they would all give you the choice.
