that's what all the other people buying them early said too. Just call forward until Friday. On a good note though, RS in Rochester just called me to schedule my 8:45 appointment to pick up mine! Wohooooo!

Your Evo should have a temporary number assigned to it, with a California exchange. The temporary number can be activated, but you will be unable to port your existing number or activate a new line of service on your Evo until June 4th...................

How do you use an EVO phone just for wireless if no Sprint Contract? Does this mean you can't use Apps or just can't use the official Android Apps store?

Or more specifically, without an activated phone #, what can be used on the EVO?

You can do everything through WiFi except make calls and text. And if you're clever enough, you can do those too :)

It has a temporary number. You use it like any other phone. The app store uses you Gmail, not your number. Use the phone no different than if you were waiting for a port
