    1. Which Word version is compatible with QuickOffice on Eris? i saved a document in Word 2007 and manually put it in my phone, found it with Astro but was not able to open it and view it.

    2. When QuickOffice saves a document, or PDF ( is QO responsible for opening those also?), where on the card does it save it to? Which folder?

This is from the QuickOffice Website. :(
    Files Formats Supported:
    • Microsoft Word: .doc
    • Microsoft Excel: .xls
    • Text Files: .txt
Please Note: Quickoffice for Android supports viewing for 2003 and earlier versions of Microsoft Word and Excel documents. Office 2007 documents for Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx) files are not supported in this release.
Quickoffice for Android does not support document EDIT at this time.
Stay tuned for more information on availability of Powerpoint viewing and Office editing.

Yeah, in Office 2007 just choose the "Save As" option whenever you first save your files and select to save it as an Office 2003 document.

Yes, there is an App that lets you view and do some editing in office documents with the purchased version. It's called Documents to Go.
