I would like a fairly big clock widget on the home page of my motorola bravo. One that just works automatically. I don't want to have to press an icon to see it.

Is there an app for that?

The ones in Beautiful Widgets are really nice. They're big and have lots of skin options. Those and the Htc clock are the only ones I've used so if you're looking for a free option I have no idea.

Try Sense Clock and Hero Clocks, lots of them on the Market.

I downloaded hero clock. I got the message that it is installed. But, for the life of me, I can not find it anywhere. When I go into setting > applications, I can see it there, but I can not find listed with my applications.

because its a clock you want displayed on the homepage, that means its a widget. you need to longpress on the homepage and select widgets from the screen that pops up. it should be located among these.
