Well this was stupid. I threw out the box to my droid car holder, inside was the small round adapter to attach the cradle to the dashboard.

Of course a week later my car dies, I buy a new one, and I need that tiny little piece

Send me a PM if you have an extra one to sell. Would greatly appreciate it!

Do you knwo if that is the same thing as what came with the Verizon car cradle? I just want to make sure it works rather than taking a jump at something that is not OEM.

Best Buy carries them as well. Back in the car stereo section.

90mm = 3.5 inches diameter. Measure the largest diameter of the suction base on the car mount and see what it is. I would allow 1/2" extra to be safe. (3" dia base max)

I'm currently using the disc from a magellan GPS - it's only about 1/4 inch bigger than the bottom of the cradle, but it works great. So you can use anything as long as it's big enough.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have been using my Motorola Droid Car mount for several months, with the adhesive disk stuck to my dash. The soft rubber piece that the mount's suction cup attaches to is attached to the hard plastic piece (which is stuck to the dash) with an adhesive. The hard disk is staying put on the dash, but the heat affects the soft rubber piece's adhesive, and it constantly detaches, making it useless. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have had my Car mount for about 2 months and I have YET to use my adhesive disk. I suction it straight to my window, which puts it in direct "contact" with sunlight and I have not had a problem with the suction cup yet. Make sure you get a secure and clean attachment (lick the suction cup..childish I know but works) and you should be alright.

I had the same issue with the adhesive not holding the disc to the dash, after a couple of weeks the disc would start to pull off of the adhesive pad. I gave up and went back to attaching it to the glass.

I didn't use mine either so if anyone needs it just say and I will send it to you. No sense spending money on Ebay for it when you have friends here.:D

I had the same problem here in Chicago last week when the temperatures finally got up into the 70's with some sunlight. I came out to my car multiple days to find the adhesive piece detached (adhesive left on the dash and the rest of the unit fell off, although the suction was fine). Also note that the place I have it on my dash has slight curvature (is not perfectly flat) which may affect the adhesive as well.

For now, I'm just pushing it back on, although I may explore other options (stronger adhesive or just using the suction to the windshield).

Same here. I have my adhesive pad with all the protective stickers still on it. Let me know if anyone wants it and it's yours.

I put my disk in the center of the dash, instead of somewhere my arms can actually reach! Any suggestions as to finding a replacement of the adhesive pad before I rip it off the dash? Thanks

Try a higher temp adhesive. I had problems with a transponder tag sliding down my windshield as the velcro adhesive melted under the sun. High temp Dual Lock solved that problem. Same concept.
