Yahoo owns Flickr So why no Picasa app

I used to use Flickr Pro, and i found it was a nice photo community site.
However i have now changed over to Google Picasa, as i like the upload feature, and with a 50mb broadband connection i uploaded all of my photos (24gb) with no effort.
I have one or two gripes but nothing major, i hardly use Photoshop Elements now.

I'm sure a google Picasa app must be on it's way.

I am also surprised there is no official Android imaging app, either to do some simply editing or to manage your pics on your phone and enable easy uploading to the web albums. I know the Gallery has a picasa upload option but often I want to do a bit to cleaning up first.

Picasa is apparently being reborn as Google Photo's in the coming months, as part of Google+ so maybe we'll see something after that?
