Just discovered that I can no longer watch videos on my eris. I get the audio, but the screen remains dark. Has anyone else experienced this?

Bump. Anyone? It doesn't matter if I use the app or the browser. I get sound only. Videos saved on my sd card play normally.

I can't help NG 'cause I don't play any videos on my Eris. However you looked so sad here being ignored that I thought I drop in and say Hi.
    HI.
    :)

Hopefully somebody with an idea or two will drop by.

It might help if you say what kind of video you're trying to play. I'm assuming you mean YouTube, but that may not be a correct assumption.
I see you're rooted and on 2.2, so that means you can't play flash videos.

I avoid them like the plague as well.

Thanks guys. It seems to play some but not others. It could have been broken for months and I wouldn't have noticed. Just someone sent me a link and I couldn't get it to play either using Youtube app or the browser. Then I tried others at random and none of them worked. Today I searched for some that I know I have watched successfully in the past and they played just fine. (Gotta be able to get to the Muppets when I need a laugh).

    Doesn't Youtube have a highdef/lowdef option?
Could you be trying for highdef (which I assume won't play on the Eris).
