Question Tethering ?'s

ok. mobile hotspot for free is over.

can i tether with a USB chord which is not using the mobile hotspot feature for free? i'm tethering one device, whereas hotspot connects what, 5 or 6...

ok.

can i wirelessly tether 3G? can i wired tether 3G? (for free of course)

i ask because i just got off a confusing phone call with a Rep. who wasn't ready for my barrage of questions (a newer employee).

these tiered prices are disgusting. i'm not a data hog, but i'm not somebody who thinks sending pictures and checking email is worth an unlimited plan...

i guess i'm just confused. being tethered uses a bit more data than going mobile over 4G. the frustration with 3G is it's so slow that you think "scrap this, i'll just do it on my computer"

it kinda makes me mad that i have a contract to use 4G as much as i want, but now how i want...

Are you rooted? If not, then there are apps to help you tether wired. I've heard of PDAnet but I've never used it. However, if you root then you can use the app wireless tether and won't have to pay.

I'm using the wireless tether app now. Works great every time. Try it out.

Always on 4G. I don't use it often. My monthly is 9-10 GB of total use.

Yes. But that isn't much compared to others. I've seen threads where people say they use up to 40 GB a month. Did you try using the tether app yet?
