Default Need help getting back on track

I miss the ease of rooting my OG Driod....

anyway, I have been trying to root my TB with no success. I have tried so many different methods that I don't know where I am in the process now.

Lastnight I Downloaded a few programs and renamed a downloaded file pg015img.zip.zip. on my SD card without realizing the duplicate .zip. So I gave up and noticed the duplicate today, fixed it and rebooted. The phone installed the .zip and I was prompted to update now, which I said no and rebooted. Now I don't know where I am in the process.

Can someone help me get back on track?

My boot screen says:

Mecha XP Ship S-ON
Hboot 1/04.000
emmc-boot
Feb 23, 2011

my software screen says

Android version
2.3.4
Sense version
2.1
SOftware number
2.11.605.9

Where do I go from here??? Thanks!

i take it you're wanting to downgrade then use revolutionary to root? i dont know what .3 firmware is, but you should downgrade to the .5 (post #4 RUU of the following thread)

Thunderbolt Root/Unroot Thread

from there, follow the directions in post 1 with the Revolutionary link (watch the video as well)

hope this helps ask if you need anything else

Thats where I am at!

I tried to run the steps with Revolutionary without success. It failed at zerging root, failed to get root. Do I need the HTC Sync, because it is not on my PC.

Actually,if the revolutionary too ran, there is nothing wrong with your drivers.

It failed because you are on 2.11.605.9, and either didn't run the steps to gain temp root with fre3vo,or there was some sort of error if you did run them.

Start over in post 1 of the root/ unroot thread, and make sure the outputs to your commands look like those in the code box.

If it still fails, provide a copy/paste of everything in your cmd window(right click,Mark, highlight everything in white, hit enter)
