Default Format sd card to fat 32

For anyone having slow performance with your sd card, format in fat 32 and observe a dramatic speed increase.

ExFat is also an issue. My 64GB was formatted to this and fat32 fixed the awful performance for media and file transfers.

You can format to fat32 in your pc if you have a card reader or adapter.
