Glad you like the new update, and yeah the blank dark screen after hitting reboot in cwm is a cwm problem it can be fixed by what you did, a simple battery pull.
Having some problems with 5.3.0. Unplugged my phone this morning at 100% battery, was charging overnight. Got to work and noticed battery was at 90%. plugged into computer usb and computer saw device but not charging. in settings kept flipping back and forth between usb connected to not charging. my battery went from 90% to 76% in about 5 minutes. tried rebooting, didnt help battery issue but started getting "android system (process system) has stopped" advenced restore of system didnt help

I've got to say I'm having the opposite effect... I'm using bobzhome's kernel and getting the best battery life I've ever had..

let it die completely, and when i mean completely i mean dont make it even power up. then recharge while its off. Wait until it reaches 100% then boot the phone.
boot into cwm do a factory reset wipe cache and dalvik as well as fix permissions.
did a factory reset and used my prevail USB cord to plug into wall. battery charged normally. so I'm thinking my USB cord crapped out. but I'm still a bit nervous about plugging into work computer. thanks to all for the help
Im having 2 issues with the latest build. 1. I'm having an issue with the battery as far as when its charged still on the cord it sometimes rapidly vibrates over and over like its trying to charge with no cord there and 2. My camera wont take the pic. It will focus but wont actually take the pic. FYI for you guys but other then that its awesome. Thanks.

5.3 rom
I love the new rom, but titanium backup pro will not run. I purchased it when using ver. 5.1 and backed up everything using it, but now under 5.3 it says installed, but will not run so I can not restore my backups. Can anyone help me out. Much appreciated. Keep up the great work.
Also I have noticed a serious power drain. I am using bobz kernel with setcpu and in 10 minutes my battery dropped 10 percent. With 5.1 and setcpu I had no problems with battery drain. I am currently charging phone back up to 100 percent and then will see how it does. With titanium not working and the power drain issue, I might go back to 5.1 for now It was working great for me.
as for the camera and gps issue, I am having no problems there.

I just tested camera to see if it works for me, works fine for me.. I'm runnng 5.3 with bobzhome's kernel. As for the charging vibrating issue I have seen it but I just assumed its because my friends dog dined on my power cord and it is iffy when charging. Prolly is that but I thought id voice my possible similiar issue in case...

Dunno bro I'm running the latest version fine...
Did you install the free version and then the pro key or just the pro key?

5.3 rom
OK. Never mind about titanium. Stupid mistake on my part. I just installed the pro key and forgot to install the app. Was a long nite at work, sorry for that dumb question. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. LOL I am still however, having a battery drain problem.

5.3 rom
it's official something isn't quite right. Don't know if it just might be my phone, but with 5.1 version and setcpu I could go roughly 36 hours of normal phone use without charging the phone. (I have a 1910maH battery as well) after charging to 100 percent with 5.3 version, my phone went to 69 percent battery power after just 2 hours of normal use. So for now, even though 5.3 its much speedier and smaller rom, I am switching back to 5.1 until more testing is done with 5.3.
Still, I have to say you guys are doing a great job with this rom and I understand there are always hicups along the way. So in no way am I complaining about the rom, just providing my info and experiences with it.
Keep up the great work, we all appreciate all you guys do.
*** Just saw your suggestion about performing factory reset, wiping dalvik and fixing permissions. Giving that a try first before switching back to 5.1

5.3 rom
Sorry, one more thing I would like to add. YOU FIXED IT!!!!!!!! Has anyone else noticed it? It as in the touch screen bug these phones had. With 5.3 my touch screen is working flawlessly. I can drag icons on my desktop all day long without it dropping unless I remove my finger. Heck I can now even use swype with no problems. The battery drain issue just might have to be something I live with, cause having my touch screen finally work like it is suppose to is a much bigger deal and win in my book.
I would get frustrated trying to play angry birds, cause with the touch screen bug it would always shoot the dang bird when I didn't want it to, now I have no problems with angry birds either.

Definitely great work guys. Thank You
If you installed bob's new kernel yes the touchscreen bug is now fixed. Turns out samsung was listening to us and released this kernel that fixed the issue. Android 2.3.6 will be coming soon for the Ultra as well. The battery life issue will be fixed by this saturday or at least an attempt to get battery working properly again will be made sorry for the inconvenience.

Battery Issue
chevanlol360, just a heads up. Since trying ur suggestion of factory reset and wipe and fix permissons, my baterry percentage has now only droped 1 percent in the last hour of normal use. That is about normal for my phone, so I have to say now I am not having any issues with the new rom

idk if its me or my phone but i think i have a problem, each time i turn on my bluetooth, the system process force closes twice and then my phone reboots. after that it reboots like every 5 mins. the only way i fixed this was reflashing the rom and not turning on the bluetooth. i did test it a second time to see if it really was the bluetooth and same happened. any suggestions?
Thats a very good question it just started shutting off and other times it would just switch to no service no matter where I was and the only way to get service back was pull the battery, I've also been having some issues with the screen not coming out of suspend while making a call.

Did you boot the phone up after you fixed permissions factory reset and wiped cache/dalvik?? Or dis you just reinstall it after you did that?

was getting FCs also. I was wiping cache and dalvik, fixing permissions, factory reset, but then I was reflashing the 5.3.0 zip before rebooting. was making me nuts! thought it was fixed but then it would start FCing again. thanks for clarifying
I also did a wipe of dalvik cache, factory reset, and fixed permissions then flashed to 5.3.0 and i keep getting force closes. Was gonna try running a logger see if i could pick up what was closing and when. Think maybe i didnt delete a folder that isnt deleted by formating and it might have messed with it. But will let you know more when out of work when i try again.
I also had the same fc issue. I went back and fixed permissions, wiped cache/dalvik and factory reset. I reflashed 5.3.0 and reboot have had no problems since.
I had no issues once wiping dalvik and factory resetting but issues returned when I installed some app... can't remember which one but it was prolly titanium backup or something else requiring root.

Till i reinstall some apps...i agree with LOOTA, is probably titanium...
Edit: finally found my problem... my problem wasn't titanium my problem was ADW luncher ex , i reinstall the rom and reinstall apps one by one rebooting the phone everytime i reistall an app. when i got to ADW laucher, i reboot the phone and (the system process force closes) started again ...

Reason: Found my problem
I take that back I just made a call on phone needed to use the dial pad phone froze then started force closing again. It has been 2 days since I re did the above with no problems.
so I'm getting the FCs again. the only thing that stops the FC is rebooting recovery, wiping dalvik/cache ,fix permissions, reboot. if I do that I don't get FCs but if I try to reboot my phone without doing all that I get FCs.
I'm thinking its a problem during boot up bc my phone vibrates a lot during bootup and the FC notice is there right away (bootanimation > lock screen>fc notice). then FCs randomly but also every time I try to use stock dialer
