Oooh, the magic blue smoke, eh? I always wondered what it was, but thought it was harmful to inhale (in large doses, anyway).

And you will only have to put up with that for a few more weeks 2-4
6.0 will fix all the current bugs.

I was having a force close issue on my boost mobile TU. After clearing dalvic and resetting to factory before installing $hEvRoN I had no issues.

Yes, just follow the instructions in this thread:
Blocking the OTA updates from Sprint

I know it says Sprint but I can confirm that it does work for Boost also.

I've recently been getting bugged by an OTA update notification. I'm wondering if the upcoming version 6.0 will include the latest update released on 8/1. I've also started getting some FC issues now. I'm anxiously awaiting the new version

Yes it will be running FF27, and so far in the 2 of 6.0 non of my rom testers has reported the FC bug that you all are experiencing. Hang in there buddy, just a few more weeks.

So I just accidentally dropped my phone >.< WHOOPS!!
It's fine, but the battery came out and therefore it was an unclean shutdown.

But i was able to figure out a little more about my FC issue. It seems to happen most often after an unclean shutdown. I figured you guys would probably be interested

After powering it back up I received a FC as soon as i got to my home screen. Now every time I open the phone dialer it causes another FC. This does not happen anywhere else including call log, contacts, favorites.

So now that i know how to make the fc happen. I used "Android System Info" to view the logs for my phone, and export them to a file. I wish it was time stamped but whatever, i think this is what you'd be interested in:

Default unintall SU???

I originally became interested in rooting my phone because I wanted to get the $hevron rom on my phone (Boost mobile samsung transform ultra) along with other decent root requiring apps. It took me a while to figure out how to root. But I eventually figured it out after an extensive search of instructions. So I rooted my phone. I installed a few root requiring apps, like titanium backup. then my phone did an update, and i discovered that my phone was not rooted anymore. Quite frustrated with this, I found that super user is still on my phone. So i figured maybe another time I will try re rooting my phone again, after I better understand how to install this rom after and make sure phone is updated as it needs to be before root. So my problem now is I want to remove super user from my phone, since it is useless without root.. I tried looking up everywhere on how to do this, with this situation of being unrooted. I really dont want to have to root my phone again just to remove SU and remove root again. Ive found many of the instructions on what to do, to be beyond my understanding. (yep pretty much a noob), and I dont want to tinker with my phone and mess it up with only partially understood instructions. Ive tried factory reset, and Ive tried super one click. and Superuser is still there. and now when I try to move things to SD card in phone it sumtimes says error on first try. Im gettin very nervous with the my phone. Ive heard of flashing and SBF and RDA, and I dont have any idea how to do that. Im sorry to have posted this in this thread. I dont know how to start a new thread or find any better one thats open than this. AS this is where I started with the interests of getting this Rom, but now putting that plan on the back burner till i can figure this out. Could anyone please help me.???

Megatron is currently in beta stage 3, the beta stages will end at stage 5 which wont take long.
Tomorrow i will be posting up images of MegaTron 6.0 and well as a list of features. MegaTron is very close to release date which is 1-2 weeks or less.
Thank you all for being patience.

6.0 will be based on ff27 and fg11 which is the boost and sprint versions of the newest 2.3.6 build from samsung. Your phones software will be uptodate but you may still need to update your baseband depending on whether or not chev and mav are able to find a way to include this in their rom.

Hello all. I have a couple of questions about installing CWM and this Rom. I currently have a stock 2.3.4 stock TU. It looks like the first step is to use Odin to install CWM. Since I am stock 2.3.4, do I still have to do a battery pull when Odin says reset or is that just for 2.3.6 users? My next step seems to install this rom in the proper folder on my microsd card. Then I should boot directly into CWM and then install this rom.
This brings me to my 2nd question. Does installing this rom give me root or is there a step I missed along the way? I previously had a Galaxy Prevail and it went 1) Root, 2) install Cwm and 3) Install Rom. So I want to make sure Im not skipping a step with my TU. Also, are the drivers for the prevail the same as the TU? If not, would installing new drivers conflict with old drivers? I think thats about it for now. Thanks to all involved in making are phones user and rom friendly and anyone who can help me out.

Since you are on 2.3.4 you should be able to use super one-click to get cwm and root access.

Currently I am testing this ROM for chev and mav. I am on the Sprint Network. This build (and baseband) is based off the FD11 for us Sprint users. I am, however, currently up to date on the FG11 baseband.

Just to clear things up for us Sprint users.

Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Since your still on 2.3.4 just root your device by following this thread Click Here to see the thread
then download odin and the need files " odin.ops, and the new clockworkmod" follow the instructions on this thread HERE to get step by step instructions. once your done with all of that come back here and follow the instructions on how to install the $hevron ROM.
once you connect your phone to your computer it should automatically download the drivers if needed.

Hi all,

The android update has brought me back to this stupendous forum about messing with a perfectly good phone until you break it, and then spending hours fixing it in the process, crying about it to anyone who listens. Lol all kidding aside I think everyone here rocks. So, back to this Boost update. I zipped that bad boy on this morning got android 2.3.6 and FF27 there. Great, b/c I don't know how to apply (flash) these things (Roms/updates) while being able to go back to my absolutely coveted apps I stubble down the road like an idiot. I tried to restore a back up I made before the update, but failed. Then I tried to flash Mr.Ree back on, but that didn't work. Spent some time on a boot loop, then got $heveron back on. It rocks and is very fast. Can't wait to flash the MegaTron!

MegaTron, runs on android 2.3.6 tweeked correct?
How come this Rom $hervon 5.3.2 got rid of the update error if it is only using Android 2.3.4? The update was to 2.3.6 right like MegaTron will run right?
The, "Install zip from SD" CWM is how you change the components of a Rom without switching the Rom, yes?
When is that function used compared to the Restore?
Thanks again. Sorry admin for blurring the newbie message in with the heavy hitters here.

1. Yes MegaTron will run android 2.3.6 FF27 and FG11 for boost and sprint
2. It's not gone yet, wait it will come back
3. yes
4. A restore restores an entire system instead of just changing one thing

Thought it was time for a change, blue theme has been running as the main theme for shevron every since version 1 so i decided to make the default theme black and white but dont worry an ICS theme, green and purple and or pink willing be coming soon. hopefully they will all be ready for the release of mega and if not it will show up in few days lol.

Hello all. I took the plunge yesterday and went from stock to running this awesome rom. I am still runnig 2.3.4 but give me time.:-) I had a couple of questions about gettind rid of a couple of things. I downloaded a generic app requiring root and I wanted to get rid of 1) go sms pro 2) ex mail and 3) animated weather. I quickly started to have issues after removing sms pro so I restored a backup and everything went back to normal. Is it safe to rid of these three items? And if so what should I use. I was hoping to avoid tb as it has too many bells and whistles for me. I just want something simple.

I have one more question. I can't stop haptic feedback for the life of. I unchecked the box, but yet it remains. Its driving me nuts. Thank you for any and all help.

Edit: The haptic feedback wasn't the issue, it was a settng in the keyboard

They have a few apps out there that will allow you to freeze apps so they don't run at all but they will still be on your phone. it's what i do if i'm unsure about the safe removal of something i don't really want. as far as $hevRom 5.3.2 (the current one?) i did remove go sms pro and animated weather. i like the stock texting better and i i wanted a clock that was more fitting to my theme and dont really have need for a weather app. ex mail is the email app that Chev used for this version and there isn't another email app installed but yeah, until further notice if i'm unsure about the removal of an app, i freeze it and let it go a few days to see if something acts up.

ps correct me if im wrong on any of the above info...im not a dev or anything...

Thanks for the response. What method did you use to get rid of these apps?

I use rom toolbox to uninstall or freeze apps but it is the paid version. Works extremely well. Be careful at what you uninstall. I accidentally uninstalled the wrong app (fat finger syndrome) and I knock out my notification bar and wasn't smart enough, at that time, to get it back.

yeah i think i used System Tuner, which is like a cheap free knock-off all-encompassing super app, basically a ghetto RTB or TiBU. and i have been preaching to freeze before u uninstall just to be on the safe side.
