Tried to put su and superuser.apk in it and remove the recovery shit before work but ran out of time. Here's the zip for ROMers, I will release a stock update when I get home that's pre-rooted
It will be flashed via CWM to update

Thanks for this and a small request....I would do it myself but I'm short 1 TU. Can you check this new update for the presence of CIQ? I'm interested in knowing if Boost is serious about getting rid of CIQ.
I was wondering if anyone also receive the "over-the-air" update on the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra? I received it this morning and keep getting it popping up but I can't do the update due to my phone having the CWM installed. Is this the same update? And if it is, how can I go about installing it. CWM can't boot this for some reason.....
So if it only fixes the touch screen issue, why should we upgrade if we are running Bob's new kernel that is already CWM & SU friendly?? Is anything else included in the update?

The update fixes the touch screen, updates the phone to Android 2.3.6, and hopefully removes carrier IQ but still waiting on someone to confirm the latter. I'm not sure what else yet.
it's a firmware and software update . not a hot fix . baseband should be alot better ( cmda and evdo should have better signal ). drivers should be trimed and stable ( the screen bug gone hopefully) . android should be cleaner ( ciq gone hopefully plus other things wait and see atm) . overall its a needed update. and if you don't want stock wait a week or two the rom dev's here will have it tweaked :] . relax and it'll be worth it
Ok. New to this crap.... I did have my phone rooted and I know better than running the update without reserching it first. So now after the over the air update my phone is not rooted. Tried to reroot it and no workie Can someone help?????????

I'm sure interdpth would be glad to help you...thats what he is there for anyway!
^^^^^^^^^ There you go interdpth....I sent a response for you so you can have more time making a rooted zip and less time answering the same question for the 4th time.
Edit: Let me explain this a little better so I don't hurt anyones feelings: Interdpth is developing a rooted zip to flash with CWM that will fix all the problems with failed updates. Developing such things takes time. If you really want to help him, hit his donate button and send him a few bucks.

But.....and this is a BIG but(pun intended)....it looks like everything has to be stock or the update will fail and leave a mess behind...as interdpth is unfortunately finding out now.....

Edit: More info....the updater-script verifies files in /system but does not flash the kernel till later:
I suppose if the /system patches are applied but that ^^^ fails, you would get a reboot into recovery so make sure you have the stock kernel flashed before you do the OTA update. I would suggest using Odin to flash back to stock recovery just to be safe but I don't know yet if that is necessary.

If we're Odin'ing our phone back to stock, we put the .ops file in the OPS file box, but what about the recovery, system, and kernel .tar files? Do those just get flashed one by one in the One Package box, and if so, is there a certain order to go in? (Kernal first, then system, then recovery, or whatever.)
when I removed those three files when I was making MrRee Rom it would bootloop, i was only able to delete 2 of those files cuz ciq was embedded everywhere! That why I was only able to disable it not remove.

Yes..one by one in the One Package box and the order does not matter as long as you do all of them.

Interesting, I Odin'd my phone all the way back to stock, however my wallpaper, apps, and even SuperUser still stayed on my phone, but the Build Number, Kernel Version, and Baseband Version all changed back to stock.
CWM is also gone.
However I still go to Settings>About Phone>System Update>Update Firmware and it still says that there's no update availiable even though I got the notification this morning.

He is having a few unforeseen problems so be patient....he is better at this then most dev's I know. If I had my TU...I'd be helping but I don't so I am rather useless to him right now.
Actually thats not true. I have Boost Mobile and I received this update over the air this morning. Unfortunately, my phone is rooted and has the CWM so it didn't allow it to update. I'm waiting patiently for interdpth to do it for us so we can keep CWM and root
I manually applied the 2.3.6 update, everything went fine except for it brought me to a blank black screen. I pulled the battery, rebooted and the phone rebooted into 2.3.6 successfully.

Take Some Pics And Post It....Is There A New Lockscreen?
No same lockscreen, however the "Sound is off" text is white, but the "Sound is On" text is now orange. Might've always been like that, but something I noticed.
I Odin'd my phone back to stock (DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!!) and downloaded the update from the first thread here, then booted into recovery and updated like that. (The .zip file's name has to be changed to update.zip before putting it on the SD card.)
Odin erases CWM.

How long did it take for you to flash back to stock? i have been trying to flash just the system for about an hour now
hey inerdepth or even bads3ctor while your poking around in there to make it rooted want to check the wifi part? alot of people reporting that the wifi doesn't work with the update just saying so you don't have to release 100 different copies trying to tweak it
I odin'd my phone back to normal. it was starting you run kind of shitty anyways and rebooting it makes it run smoother again, and i tried to update it manually with the file from the first thread but it still comes up with an error message and aborts the update. I did receive an over-the-air update this morning but the CWM wouldn't let me install it. Now that I'm back to stock it says there isn't an update now which is weird cuz it's popped up about 5 times today! did you do anything different to make it work for you? which files did you use with odin?
