Make sure you have the latest ClockworkMod installed
Installation will wipe all your Data and Settings

DO NOT RESTORE ANY DATA OR APPS FROM OTHER ROMS It will cause random applications to FC
Known bugs:
If the camera says failed to connect try toggling on and off the Flashlight widget in the notification window, if that doesn't fix it go to the Quickpanel settings and disable Flashlight then go to Manage applications in settings and clear Camera data and reboot
A lot of apps were removed in the rom, if its not in the above zip its either worthless, broke during the deodex or can be installed with the Market.
You can either use adb, a root explorer or flash them through CWM by doing this:
➯ Download this: ApkInstaller.zip
➯ Open it using 7zip
➯ Drag and drop the apk's you need to the system/app folder in the zip
➯ Put ApkInstaller.zip on your sdcard
➯ Boot into CWM and flash it
➯ Thats it

Thanks for bring this over. I have got the chance to play with both a stock prevail and one with Ctmod. Impressed.
I have a qeustion about the browser. I'm using a chromed out maxthon that is your work I like it because its a lot faster than opera turbo but it doesn't like this phones qwerty. Is there a qwerty optimized version I can get by its self?

Correct me if I'm wrong but being it's an install zip from SD and not a restore I think we should mention to make sure you're using the latest clockwork mod. I believe previous versions could cause the phone to be bricked

Hey Bloodawn welcome! It's great to have you deving on this phone! I've never had a Prevail but i've read great things about this rom so thanks for helping out! I have a couple problems.. I get a force close when I go to settings - about phone - status, it reads... "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." My camera doesn't work at all, it worked a little bit at first but now it can't connect or I get fc's, QuickPic doesn't work & I can't access my pictures. My phone isn't activated anymore either so I can't test 3G/Cell/SMS/MMS, but other than that it runs quick & smooth. Thanks again!

Edit: wow its extremely fast.
Bugs when I open the camera and press the zoom button it crashes. Same with some buttons in the settings menu.

Its cause of bobs kernel, why settinfs FC. Ever since the FF27 update came out it crashes about settings but if you use stock ff27 kernel it doesnt. Not sure why as bob said he matched up the source from his kernel to the new FF27 source and nothing was changed.

Probably the ramdisk, apparently he didn't add the FF27 changes to it. I was wondering why there was still some CIQ shit in it that I had to remove.

both phones have the same resolution so you can do it pretty easy.
for most themes you can just copy the images over from the prevail's files to the TU's, try not to add ones the TU doesn't have tho or you'll just be wasting space.

If I'm understanding you correctly are you saying that the Prevail themes will work on the TU's CTMod??
the images from the prevail will work, but the files won't.
like you can add the themed images from the prevail's framework-res.apk to the TU's framework-res.apk, but if you actually try using the prevail's apk shit won't work.

boot into recovery..wipe cache and dalvik..fix perms..reboot..if any particular app gives you trouble..try deleting data in settings..then reboot..last case ..do a full wipe data..cache..dalvik and reinstall the rom..just in case something was brought over from your previous system

Id say no since he included the link to manual update in here. I am fixin to do mine if u wanna wait see how it goes. First ill update cwm with updatezip. File for cwm. Then ill do manual terminal method update of baseband. Then flash this rom. Give me like 1 hour and check back.

Ok I thought it did update the baseband because it required the new CWM which is capable (i think ) of doing so. Also, If I updated baseband myself, where do i get the terminal emulator on my phone at? the market?
Can anyone confirm if manually updating the baseband is required for this rom if you are using the newest version of CWM (v.5.0.2.8) ?

I'm thinking that updating to this rom with the newest CWM will update your kernal/baseband automatically as he states that he has customized it and there would be no other way of updating those other then this ROM update. I am really just waiting to see if the camera to video FC is fixed before I update.
From what I've read, updating the rom doesn't automatically update your baseband. The camera to video fc issue seems to be resolved. I would say just manually update the baseband. It only takes about 5 minutes and is completely painless if you follow the directions.

Just comenting not complaining but if screen is locked and I flip out keyboard it sorta crashes mini reboot where stock rom would unlock from fliping out keyboard. Once again I love this rom and above info is feedback only not a complaint.

If that's the only camera you use try deleting camera.apk from /system/app, reboot then try it out.

try deleting main camera app with es file explorer give it root permission first tho
