Default Changing the dialer

Does anyone know how to change the colors or theme of the dialer? Been searching around for this, and haven't been able to find anything on it as of yet. Looking to change it to match my dopey little Batman theme.

The phone.apk has a dialer in it as well. Contacts.apk's dialer is for when you're geting ready to make a call, and the phone.apk's dialer is when you're in a call and have to press a number (lie when you call a bank's automated system). One word of warning, though: you may receive errors while decompiling or recompiling the phone.apk, or it may not work right when installed to the phone. I tried theming a phone.apk to match my red theme, and when I flashed it with CWM, the app force-closed on me any time I tried to make a call, and the phone wouldn't connect to 3G.

yeah i forgot to make the changes in Phone.apk when i made my dialers. I beleive u can use the same dialer images from contacts.apk (with same names) for phone.apk.

U dont need to decompile in order to change images in phone apk or images apk. i use zipthemer to overwrite the images, or u can use ninjamorph (both free in market)
I havent tried but u may be able to use 7zip (open archive, not extract) to drag and drop images into the apk

Could be that the apk I was using was messed up from the get-go, or I accidentally dragged something over like an xml file, but tried that, and when my phone booted up, it wouldn't connect to 3G, and phone.apk kept FCing. Just a word of warning, really; apparently that particular apk has a lot to do with the phone's functionality. But since the subject was on the dialer, I thought i'd mention that there's one in the phone app as well.

from my limited experience it seems its very hard to mess things up by theming with images. even if u replace an image with one that is the wrong size usually the apk will compensate by stretching or shrinking, even with 9.pngs. the only time i ever had issues was when i almost bricked my phone by pushing a themed framework-res even though apkmanager returned error messages when recompiling. I think that even if u mistakenly delete an image our roms will substitute a backup image. of course theming with xmls is a completely different story... one missing character in a line of code and everything falls apart
