You might want to try reflashing or something. I haven't had a single problem with this ROM. I'm overclocked to 1.5. It is running as smooth as it can be.

Um? What? Are you saying tour home button isn't working? Our historic feed back isn't working? And remember, this is alpha.

I love this rom so far. I've noticed it seams to be more of a battery hog than the MIUI rom I came from.

also when I used CM7 on my OV it used to have an option to make the volume buttons be track previous and next with long press, is there an option in this CM9 for that I didn't see it in the settings?

the only issue I've had so far is Pandora does not work at all for me on this rom, It will load start to play on song then, go in a never ending loop of loading songs and skipping to the next as soon as it does. anyone else having this issue?

I've ran Pandora rigorously on this ROM since I flashed it. Battery life's been pretty amazing too.

Yeah just go into settings, then select sound, now scroll all the way to the bottom and you should the "volume rocker music control".

No look in the main post for known problems to give you an overview of what is not working.

It's awesome. I was running MTDEV CM7 and decided I would flash this just for the heck of it. thought it would be choppy with all kinds of bugs kind of like all the other CM9 ROMs I have tried. Not the case at all. I think I'm gonna finally stick with CM9 now. I have faith that our developers will have the camera working (at least in some capacity) soon.

Is this a significant improvement from mantera's CM9 alpha yet? I'm quite happy with that ROM as it stands.

Thanks for the work, devs!

There is basically more updates that where added into the code from CM before we made it stable. Basically more tweaks and such to make it more stable. There is still a lot of work to get it fully optimized for the Triumph but I couldn't compare it to Mantera's build as the last time I ran his was months ago.

I am not sure if this is worth anything here, but I thought that I would mention it anyway. I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 which I flashed CM9 on. Well I went to use the camera and it kept force closing on me. Well what I did was use root explorer and deleted the camera app that came with the ROM and installed the ICS camera app from the market. Now the camera works without issue. I know that the issue with the MT camera probably runs deeper than this, but this may be a quick fix for the camera on our phones when the devs get it working and if it keeps force closing.

I know that, but I was just mentioning that if they get the camera into a workable state and it force closes this will most likely fix it. It is just a little tip from your truly.

Didn't you read that I said when the devs get the camera working this will fix the force closes?

Just installed the ROM. Battery life seems to be really poor in comparison to when I had CM7 installed. Battery now dies in 9 hours instead of 14. For a large part of the day I had it in airplane mode, but it seemed to drain the battery as quickly as when it was in cell standby. Anyone else having this trouble?

Also, has anyone been successful in installing google now? xda-developers - View Single Post - [MOD] [4.0+] [UPDATE 08/08] The Google Now for ICS Project [APK AND ZIP] [ARMv6&v7]

Well yeah, that's pretty much expected. This is an Alpha, after all.

I followed the instructions there on the XDA site, but it doesn't say you need to move any files. Which files did you need to move and from where to where?

It's wierd, he said he deleted the files (with a file explorer or through terminal) then he said he moved them and fixed permissions. The only two places I know where apps go are /system/app and /data/app. If they don't go in thoes directories, I don't know where else they would go.

Do you have a file explorere? Like ES file explorer?

my fault. i shouldve cleared it up. first i deleted some useless appa i dont use in system apps using es file explorer to clear room. after i opened the zip file and copied each file to where each file belongs. dont copy meta-inf thats just for flashing but for some reason the zip doesnt flash even though it says successful. hoped i cleared things up. i also used the online one if anyones interested.

I think I'm more confused than ever LOL
So if you want to fix, say facelock, you delete the facelock.apk. Then you open the ROM .zip and extract the facelock.apk and move it to the /system/app directory? And make it executible?
Just an example

no! omg now u made me confused :P its not fixing.its getting rid of the app for space for google now. lol. google now requires at least 30mb of free space and we dont have enough so we delete some apps that are useless like live wallpapers, email and email exchange, facelock and camera(until camera is fixed) after that we can flash the zip for google now. however, the zip doesnt flash properly so we have to manually move the files to where they belong.

Jarjar, i did the same as you but my zip was able to flash. I used mikeys m6 version. It worked perfectly. I deleted the stock keyboard though, I had SwiftKey installed, so no big loss.

its where the files belong. in the zip if it is in the system/app folder copy it into system/app and same for the rest. after u fix permissions and reboot
OOOOOOhH, gapps.
Ok, I see. I wonder if I could steal the space that isn't used from our "hidden" partition in stock. I found out about it when playing with the Sharp ROM. I have no real reason go back to FroYo. I wonder how big that is. I need to remeber what command to run.

And as for the permissions go, are you manually parcing the install script to run it right?

Edit: I might have a solution for the "not enough space" issue that's not partition stealing. I need to look at where we are and what we need.

Wouldn't you need to go back to Froyo if you ever had to use the VM app to re-activate the phone?

That's something to think about if we steal the hidden partition. I guess we would need to make the system more resistant to mistakes.

The only thing I can see being able to do with the hidden partition is storing Gapps on there and making simlinks in the custom ROMs, or that type of stuff. You could use it but it would make it a pain to switch between ROMs if you change it. But there is about 20MB to use without changing anything. I also worked activation into the U9000 ROM but was a little buggy so I took it out before I released it. I could try to get it worked into CM7 or CM9 but I doubt it will work.

Any chance you, or someone else, could put up a quick guide on how to install now? I tried flashing the zip I saw over on xda but when I booted back up google search was gone but nothing was in its place.... did I forget some crucial step? Thanks much!!

Does anyone know where I can find a flashable zip for black and gray icons? I found one awhile ago and accidentally deleted it, now I can't find where I got them from.

I also have the same issue with pandora not working proper. it will work on wifi but not when using mobile data. tried re-flashing and re-dl zip and clean install each time but to no avail. what recovery are you using? other apps (like FB) work on mobile data just not pandora for me any other things i may want to consider?
