Default [ROM] MTDEV-CM10 build 20120825 [ALPHA]

README:
Welcome to Cyanogen Mod 10! This ROM will be developed by the new improved MTDEV Team.

THE TEAM:
MTDEV started small but just recently got a lot bigger. Rukin5197 and BSydz have both joined into the team to make our Team even stronger. We also added b_randon14 to help with the fun, just need to find him first Together all of us will be working to improve CM10 and keep the Motorola Triumph Alive and well! And here everyone thought all the DEV's left...you better think again!

THANKS:
MTDEV would like to thank IssacJ & Tickerguy for getting the ball rolling with Cyanogen Mod Development. Can you believe it CM7, CM9, and now CM10? We would also like to thank Mantera for all his hard work on getting a lot of the pieces together in the puzzle for Jelly Bean. Also without Rukin5197 and BSydz working hard on the code it would not be where it is!! Also MTDEV would like to thank Lloir, and JMZTaylor.

KNOWN ISSUES
∙ 3G
∙ Camera
∙ GPS
∙ Headset
∙ HDMI
∙ Tethering (USB)
∙ Themes in Settings gives a FC
∙ Music Playback
∙ Other......

KERNEL
∙ Mantera's iOCv1.2.2 / 2.6.32.59

ROM ALPHA INFO
This ROM is HIGHLY ALPHA and should be treated as such. Since the code is still in development by the Cyanogen Mod Team many bugs may arise outside of the listed "Known Issues" above. So we ask you to please be patience with the process and know that we are aware of the problems. Posting regarding these issues is not necessary. We thank you for your understanding and patience

DOWNLOAD
MTDEV CM10 Rom Browser

INSTALL:
Follow these simple instructions if you’ve never flashed a ROM on the MT. If upgrading from a previous CM9, it is HIGHLY recommend to always do a full wipe data/factory reset & advanced -> dalvik-cache in recovery mode. If you simply wipe both caches and install the ROM you will be carrying over parts of the last ROM. If you need to carry over settings here is a written guide [Guide] How to Backup and Restore Apps and Data when installing new ROMs. Android Market/Play is not included for legal reasons, you MUST flash gapps.zip.

DONATIONS:
Your donations are very much appreciated. All funds are strictly used to help better MTDEV releases be that website or workstation upgrades for all Team Members

This is freakin awesome! I knew it just needed to stay up top. And now everyone is involved. In no time at all the triumph will have jelly been! This is just another observation cause I really don't know what goes on...I still feel like there is to much focus on these other roms. I mean cm7 is almost perfect and no one even uses froyo. I'm just saying. It's just a thought cause I don't know what goes into making these roms. Anyways....YES, jelly bean!!!

I feel a little like this is an episode of the original Star Trek & Kirk is telling Scotty "I need more power!" to which Scotty replies "She's givin' you all she can, cap'n!"

You guys are amazing..."going where no Triumph devs have gone before."

It's easy to say we should stop development on CM7. However working on CM7 is very easy, a lot easier than CM9 and CM10 as the code has changed so much in ICS/JB. However a lot of the changes and bugs we fix in CM7, can slowly be ported into CM9 and CM10. Also CM7 has the only working camera right now so I think a lot people still use that ROM including myself. Once we get a working camera in 9 hopefully we can port it into CM10.

Also I have some updated code for CM9 for the cameraHAL however it doesn't work including our old GPS code in CM10. It's going to take time to to get CM10 fully working as it will need a kernel upgrade including CM9. While this is a first look at an early alpha it's going to take many man hours to fix everything. Even our old headset hack that we used in CM7 and CM9 does not work in CM10. It's going to be a very slow process to get this to be a solidified daily driver.

Awesome work guys. This build is mostly stable.

Just two things I noticed:
Apollo doesn't seem to be working and google now doesn't seem to want to connect. Not complaining just mentioning. You guys are doing an awesome job!!!!

Here is a teaser video for the official one. It's nice and simple, but looks good IMO.

I know CornfedChris does an awesome job with his, so hopefully he can get something for your specific version.

Man, I was just messing with CM10 and was searching the play store for a diagnostic app, and found this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electricsheep.asi I haven't had a chance yet to look through it all but it gives model numbers and everything for almost every piece of hardware in our phones, just need to run it on stock to see if we can track down all the hardware. Just figured I'd throw this out there.

Nice, I will check this out and install stock on the dev phone!

That's cool, man it was a hot one today. I'm beat, can't seem to get out of my chair. Thanks, I have spent quite a bit of time the last two weeks with this. As soon as we get all of our individual fixes worked into the MTDEV github, things should get rolling.

Don't forget to thank mantera, he already had everything setup to build for the most part, and I referenced his CM9 for alot of the fixes. I also used a few CM9 and 10 source codes for reference. Also rukin5197 for getting us to a bootable system.

That is actually my 20th build or so, so I can't remember what all I did, cause I have been working on 3G this last week. I just have to get my build back to before I was messing with 3G before I push anything up, I don't wanna break stuff for anybody. That's just more work for everybody else. So, wish us luck, we're gonna need it.

Cool

That app you guys are talking about, I put it on my spare triumph. I went into the menu about the camera and basically all it lists is the different modes for the different features.

Ok, so I fixed the display corruptions in the MTDEV CM10 code, it was mainly the hardware files. I am running a diff right now, to find out which files exactly. I'll try to push my changes later tonight, if I can figure it out.

I probably will have a question or two, I changed a few things so I just want to narrow it down, so I don't make unnecessary changes.

I'm running this build right now and it is super smooth. I can't wait until 3g and headset are fixed so I can use this as a daily driver. Awesome work guys !

It's been 3 days since a new version was released and you're asking if the development stopped? Really? The MTDEV team is developing CM7, CM9, and CM10 simultaneously using a horribly outdated kernel because Motorola refuses to release source information. Development is still underway this kind of thing just takes time.

Haha chill dude. I didn't notice the build number and the reason I asked is because I see post on all of the roms all day except this one. Like I said, just asking...

Work is actually kinda heave on this ROM. The kernel is really hard, like Banished Angel said. I kida wish you could see the banter back and forth between the group. We don't intend to release anything that is junk. When we make some headway you'll see a new release, with bugs, but some real improvements. Also, some of the work that goes into one goes into the others. For that, it's easier to release a patched up working CM7, than to release another very broken CM9/10.

I love this work, sadly the DL link isn't working. It says itll be done downloading in half an hour (my connection is speedy, so its not me), and when it reaches 30MB down, it says complete, yet its not.
Please if you have time, a Mirror would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

Still no love on it. I tried or normal headset_sensor hacks and no dice. Mantera hooked me up with the kung fu kernel skills. Going to spend some time on the 2.6.35 kernel and see if I can make some head way with. Also have some ideas for the 2.6.32.59.

Have you see the dl.mtdev.us site? There is a working copy on there.

That's not the one I'm talking about. I'm talking about the one from JMZ.

https://github.com/jmztaylor/android_device_htc_primoc/commit/56db28c8cda0cda0f53fb12418890b94aac285ec

I've already got it in now.

Right here

Got you I'll try and kick out a build. Spending my time on the kernel tonight will see if it pays off :-)
