For systemUI DPI, I set it as custom to 165 and it seems to be great. It fits well and leaves room for the on-screen navigation buttons in the bottom left along with wifi and bluetooth for example.
If not using the on-screen nav buttons, 170 looks amazing and fits just right.

ive been running the jan 06 build since it dropped here and absolutely loving it. my appreciation goes to the devs for sure.
i tried flashing the new jan12 build 4 or 5 times now and no matter what i get no wifi what so ever. it wont turn on, i redoenloaded the zip 3 times making sure i did get a bad flash or zip with no change.
i tried a full wipe and clean flash a few times and i even tried flashing it over the jan 06 build but no matter what ive done wifi is broke. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or can think of anything that could be going wrong

It is good to gain more screen estate by changing System DPI, (see pics in previous post). However, screen lags becomes more and more noticeable with these settings. One has to tap a few times before sceen responds. It does not bother me. Just to report.

OK, so after doing a bunch of research there are tons of phones with this issue. If you go into settings>display>brightness, and check auto brightness, they work. If you just move the slider a bit they turn on, if you do that, then let the phone go to sleep with the brightness menu still open, the buttons will stay lit, but if you push the power button to sleep they turn off. I have some ideas, I'll look into it further.
I didn't mean the backlighting was unreliable. I know it is and I prefer it off since I'm using the on screen buttons which I like because they show context. I could live without button back light indefinitely. What I meant was the hardware buttons will stop working until you put the phone to sleep and wake it back up again. It happens on all roms afaik. At least for me. Using the on screen buttons allows me to bypass this problem and ease frustration.

Also rotating the phone fixes the non responsiveness.

Sorry for the confusion, I quoted the wrong post. I was reading a bunch of stuff and working on the ROM and clicked the wrong quote button.
What's up guys? I just uploaded a new version. I overhauled a ton of stuff, I need comparison information, mainly graphics and transitions, and overall performance. Also, cause it was graphics related, I need to know if it fixed or broke any games or stuff like that. Now that I have things in order, I am planning to start over from scratch, and try to refine it as much as possible. Let me know how it goes.

Hadn't been getting notification sounds the past few days because I had set my phone on silent during a shower and forgotten to set it back. The reason this was an issue is because unlike most other roms, when the phone is set to silent or vibrate there is a status bar icon indicating this but there wasn't in this rom, so I didn't realize it was still on silent.
I'm no longer on silent but if the silent/vibrate icon thing is something that can be fixed then I wanted to make you aware of it.

On the Jan6 built, when System default DPI set to custom, incoming ring will make phone FC, unfortunately. I am now set it back to Stock DPI (Phone)

Almost all FC's can be fixed for each individual app, so if the phone force closes go in Paranoid Settings>List of apps and just set the dpi to phone for that app and the ui doesn't matter.

Thanks, I noticed a couple notifications that don't pop up, but now i can't remember what they were, that is why I need you guys, I appreciate the feedback. The interface is very different so it is hard to pin point where everything is, I'll see what I can do.
Edit: Ok, it shows fine with the status bar up top, so it has to be the tablet status bar settings that are making this happen. I'll look in to it, hopefully I can find the gap issue as well.

It's so horrible trying to find everything that's wrong with your own project. It'd be a nightmare without others to help with testing. That's why I'm reporting every problem I come across, which has been a promisingly small amount.
Just wanted to update you on any thing's I've had issues with since I've been using it for a good, solid few days now. I'm VERY happy to report that there aren't many, you've done a stellar job with this ROM. Wow, it's pretty amazing quite honestly.
As a precursor, I'm using your initial release still.
On slight occasion, my bluetooth won't connect. It usually only happens when I've had the phone on for a while and am already in a call. It'll just say it's connecting but never connect. It's only happened maybe twice and a reboot fixes it right up.
The statusbar, well particularly the panel in the bottom right, is pretty unresponsive at times. I'll hit it 4 or 5 times before it'll expand at points. Not a big issue, I honestly chalk it up to being that way because it's a tablet hybrid and possibly just not quite large enough on a phone. But I leave it set to tabletui because I love how it looks, reminds me of my tablet (obviously), and everyone who sees it is jealous. Haha. It's a good looking, unique experience to say the least.
I run into the 'Unfortunately, Paranoid...' force-close about once a day. Not a big deal as it doesn't alter anything I'm doing ever.
I seem to get pretty high RAM usage over time. Usually it runs in the 80% being used range. I have very few apps installed on my phone, and even have LBE Security to make sure most of them don't load in the background, not sure what causes it. I rarely use my phone for more than a call or text, both of which it does beautifully! Maybe it's got something to do with the zRam settings? I usually use those, just am never sure if it helps or hurts.
I hope none of that comes across as me complaining, this is my daily ROM of choice and I intend for it to stay that way.. at least until your JB version gets all worked out. =) Hope any of this stuff helps!

I've found that while I can have trouble opening the notifications menu by tap, I never have trouble opening it by swiping up. Give that a try and see if it helps your problem.
I figure the problem is that sometimes your tap is being interpreted not as a tap but as a swipe down, thus preventing it from opening.
for anybody that uses hulu app (the modded of course) tablet status bar (paranoid settings) I get grey bar space all the way around video stream. Phone status bar just a small grey bar on the bottom of video stream. No, changing the DPI doesn't help with hulu video size and tablet status bar.
been using 1.6a-13JAN2013-024650 for a couple days, I have gotten my notifications. Default dpi fine by me. No issues with Wifi, few times had to airplane mode for 3g but that could of been my service area. GPS works with patients, haven't had a chance to test out bluetooth

Well been using this from since it was available, and updated when it was available and have had a good experience so far, besides the couple little annoyances people have reported.
The main problem I've had is wifi tethering. Whether I use the roms tethering settings or I've tried a few apps to tether it reboots the phone I have yet to get tethering to work at all.
As others have stated I am definetly not complaint as this is a great from. I am impressed with the devs work all together lately. Just pointing out a bug I've got and wondering if others are having the same problems

That does seem to help, I've had a far greater success rate that way, thanks!
Wondering if someone can help. I've tried everything I know to fix it to no avail. The screen says to hit the "next" button, but it looks like its off screen. I've tried changing the system apps option in the paranoid settings to every DPI option but I can't get it working. Any ideas? Still loving the rom!!

I didn't try on Jan 6 build but on the jan13 build tether on the rom and third party apps reboot my phone. I even reflashed a few times to make sure it wasn't a bad flash. Obviously others are getting the same results.

Native wifi tethering on PA Jan 13 build, when set to WPA, doesn't work and when using third party apps like wireless tether, it reboots the phone big time.

I used foursquare yesterday wifi off and it seemed to work fine for me.
I was getting wakelocks mmc0, mmc1, and mmc2 and no reboot or disabling wifi/gps/etc could fix it. Only after pulling the microSD card while the phone was on, waiting a few minutes, and reinsterting it was I able to eliminate the wakelocks.
Bsydz: You may want to look into this commit whyzor made to address this issue.
Im not getting good 3g speeds with this rom. Is there a setting i need to change? I re-installed the sharp rom from the same location and i get good 3g speeds. I install this rom and its like i am on 1x. Pages take so long to load if they load at all. Really would like to make this my daily but i cant be without 3g. Great battery life btw!

It seems to be when I'm at work (in a TV station in the room with no windows and an antenna on above). Maybe its no GPS signal and no wifi that reboots the phone.
Did I miss something or is the combined ui gone? I did a couple of fresh flashes this morning and now I can't find combined, the only status bar modes are phone ui and tablet ui. I had it before and I'm pretty sure I used pa_triumph-1.6a-13JAN2013-024650 both times.
Edit: I'm dumb lol. I forgot that the nav bar control option was in a different area. Everything is good again!

Is it safe to remove the ParanoidOTA app via Titanium? I haven't because I realized it could be crucial but thought I'd ask. It FC's everytime I open Messenger (Facebook) or get on the net. Seems to crash when I use my keyboard. I'm not positive that's it, but it seems to happen on those occasions.
Otherwise, I've been using this since your first release in this thread and it's been great! I haven't updated yet to your second release because it seems to work very well. I still get pretty high RAM usage, but I've only had one random reboot and haven't been able to pin down why nor has it happened a second time. I honestly think it was because of the RAM basically locking it up but I love the ROM, it's fantastic!
I admit, I sometimes need my camera though and consider CM7 again but I just can't get over how much I love ICS on my Triumph and the tablet interface of this.

ParanoidOTA can be removed it will just make settings crash if you check for updates. I removed it from the second build. I believe that almost all of the random reboots we are getting are from wifi and/or gps, and kernel related, I have been working to find a solution, it is related to all ROMs not using the stock kernel base. I am also still working on the camera, I have been working on the kernel, to incorporate things from the 3.0.8 kernel in hopes of making it more compatible with ICS.

Sorry to say, but I don't think many people have faced this problem, and it is hard to tell what might be wrong. I would do a backup and flash another ROM to see if it is ROM related or not. Then if that doesn't work I would go to the virgin mobile website and check your voicemail password, or reset it, if there is an option to do so. Last resort is to call virgin and have them reset your passcode, you may want to be on Stock ROM when/if you call though.
Sorry I can't help more, those are just the things I would do if I had the problem.
I don't usually comment, but this ROM is the best I have ever downloaded. Google now works very well, so far as well. Thank you and keep up the good work. What you guys do is amazing.

The proximity sensor is driving me nuts. Haha. Every time I get finished talking, I take it away from my ear to hang up and as soon (no matter how long I wait) as I hit the power button to manually turn the screen on, it acts like it was just about to come on and cuts it right back off. If they don't answer or don't hang up first, then I end up leaving a voicemail for them of me trying to get my screen to come on and hit the end call button. Basically, I have to hit power, wait a second for it to go off, hit power again and then hit end.
Is there a setting I need to change or anything I can do to fix that? The screen feels a bit unresponsive at times, I'll hit an icon and it won't take, I'll have to hit it multiple times. Feels like that's probably a setting that I need to tweak in the settings panel but I couldn't find one.
Thanks for this ROM. I am using the 13JAN2013 version and really like it. I looked around to see if anyone else is seeing this problem but couldn't find anything in this thread or the CM9 ROM threads. It isn't showing a milliamp reading in two utilities that I have been using in the CM7 builds. Both Battery Monitor Widget and Cool Tool show a 0mA reading. I can see the reading in Elixir2 when the screen is on but it doesn't track a history like BMW does. Anybody else seeing this? Any recommendations for a utility that tracks battery current usage in this ROM? I'm going to try another CM9 ROM to see if they have the same issue. It's a minor issue - just making note of it.
I hope you get the camera working!

I don't have this issue, are you using a case? I can pull the phone away from my ear at any time during a call and the screen resumes fine. I have seen this issue when my friend got a new case that was blocking the amount of light getting to the sensor. I even tried cutting the hole a lil bigger, but it didn't help.
The unresponsiveness is getting a little annoying, I can't update the touchscreen drivers in the kernel without loosing the touchscreen altogether. There were some changes made to CM9 from CM7, and I haven't figured out how to rewrite the driver to work yet. Right now I believe we are using a prebuilt file that is causing the problem with updating the drivers.
I'm back working on this ROM, I got tangled in a CAF ICS mess, it is crazy how much stuff is kernel dependent in the build process for CAF sources. It is almost a how to guide on what is needed in the kernel, except it doesn't tell you how to add it.
I'll be posting a new release in the next few days.

I believe it is an issue with space and Gapps not being installed properly, check if google maps jar in system/framework is the same size as the file in the Gapps zip, if not replace it. That fixed it for me, I have only seen it happen twice, and through a ton of testing have found that different files at different time don't get flashed correctly, there seems to be no consistency as to which files do or don't. I am gonna try to build a Triumph specific Gapps that calls our partitions by name instead of using busybox to install, in hopes of better flashing consistency.
