if you could pick 1 gadget from any movie, what would it be?
this came up at work so i figured id reach out and see what everyone else thinks/what we didnt think of.
i would have to go with the mind eraser from men in black.

I was going to go with the jet pack from James Bond (was stuck in traffic today), but since you went there, I'll take the back to the future (fully functioning) Delorean.

Problem with jetpacks is the exhaust. Can we say "rump roast"?

I thought of the Men In Black mind eraser as well as soon as I saw the title of this thread. Does the Guide from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy count?

It's hard to pick just one, but I've always wanted a lightsaber since I was a wee lad.

The movie version would be cool. The book series' Guide Mk.2, not so much.

Time machine from any time travel movie (preferably one with a happy ending) for obvious benefits I think.

Another problem is they actually exist so given the boundary is essentially our imagination (well movie producers' imaginations) this is thinking too small.
Star Trek teleporter....

Does an Iron Man suit count? That or an Asgard transport system from Stargate. It's better than Star Trek teleporter
(though obviously where they got the idea from). It could be used for transportation, as well as offensively-- like transport a nuke into the enemy hive ship!

I feel the same way about not having every answer be a Mk II phaser pistol from the original Star Trek series.
Better still, can we just classify the NCC-1701 as a gadget?
Because I for one would like the whole package.
