Thank you so much, download just finished and will be flashing.

Does the Apps2SD feature require a class 6 SDcard? I think the one included with the phone is a class 4 and I read somewhere that it requires a class 6.

If I format my SDcard to ext3, Windows will no longer recognize it, correct?

It's best to have a class 6, but it will work with lower class cards as well.

Will Windows fail to recognize my SDcard via the USB cord if I format to ext3 for the Apps2SD feature to function?

I did notice one thing just now. With the flashlight app if you close it by clicking home the front LED will still blink but if you exit it with the back button it will stop blinking.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

"-lwp remove or restore Live Wallpaper apps"

This script appears to have a type in the mount command. Have to type "sys -rw" first to mount the drive as read-write.

All previous releases I was able to download directly from my phone, a little let down that I am not able to do so with this version.

Also, I will be releasing a theme for this within the next week or so if you aren't feeling the way it looks!

Thanks for your hardwork Trident.

Thanks so much! This is amazing! Just a few questions. So im running velocity .3 with the turbo 4 and i have my 16 gb sdcard partitioned. How do i install apps off of my sdcard wen transfered from my pc? i used to use thinkfree office. I tried using the terminal and found the files on my sdcard but when i tried running the .apk files, i got permission denied. The superuser app is allowing terminal su permission of course. How can i install these apps? Specifically, im trying to install setcpu downloaded from ppcwarez instead of paying for it.

Thanks

Which ROM are you using?? Did you go back to V.2 ??

I miss the transparent status bar but needed the APPs2SD so this is a winner so far. At this point, all my APPs are redownloaded and working perfectly. Google Voice has a bug that the first attempt doesn't play the voicemail through the speaker phone. GPS still seems to take about 4 minutes to find me, but that's not a Velocity issue.

So far so good Velocity...thank you

Trident, thank you very much for your work with the velocity releases. I was mildly impressed with the ally after upgrading from win-mo, but when I found velocity and started customizing, I have fallen in love with this phone. I run velocity 0.3 with the OC Kernel and have had no problems thus far. I have noticed that when overclocking to 797mhz with overclockingwidget, the system becomes unstable and crashes. I now run at 730mhz and runs alot more smoothly. Thanks again trident for another great release, I am definitely looking forward to a velocity 0.4 and will also donate a few dollars when I get the chance and extra funds. Once again, keep up the good work Trident and the velocity dev. team.

EDIT: Question I forgot to ask, does this update support android 2.2 update or not??

I can boot into recovery but i dont know what i need to do to be able to boot the phone.. any suggestions????

Try re downloading a fresh copy of velocity and flashing that. Maybe the one you currently are trying to flash got corrupted somehow.

In recovery there is an USB option (cant remeber the exact words) on the main menu. You can use that to mount your sdcard to your PC and place the files on it.

Has a2sd been configured to move dalvik's cache to the SD card too? It doesn't seem so. Any way to enable this?

seems to be doin the same thing.. looping at the velocity screen. it shows the velocity logo with the light going back and forth for about a minute then it stops, goes away and just starts the loop again.

Should i try to flash a stock rom or anything else?

If you have a backup of your stock rom go ahead and restore back to that. You can then re-try the process or just stay on stock.

I asked Savoxis this earlier today and he said no it's not enabled or included.

You should have made a backup of your stock rom before attempting to flash any rom. All i can think of is re-flashing back to stock v6. Follow this guide. http://androidforums.com/ally-all-things-root/166588-how-flash-stock-lg-rom.html

I was just looking at the code when wiping data and i dont think its supposed to say this...

-- Wiping data --
Formatting DATA:...
Formatting CACHE:...
Formatting SDEXT:...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
Error mounting /sd-ext/
Skipping format...
Formatting SDCARD:/.android_secure...
Data wipre complete

Those lines in there with the error dont seem to be right. Any ideas what might be the problem?
