Hmm that is odd. I'm guessing yours worked before you did the GPS mod? I have no problems with holding lock when the screen is on...only when the screen is off
What build and kernel are you running?
Never did the GPS mod. Running B40 right now, always LK. Have also tested it on B36 and B39 with no problems.

I see. I played around with it a little after configuring the GPS with FasterFix, and found that I have no problems keeping a GPS lock when the phone is charging, but it will not keep GPS lock when it is running on battery alone. I think this is due to the fact that I have "Stay Awake while charging" checked in Dev Options...so it won't go to sleep and turn the GPS off.
But, shouldn't Google Nav force the device to stay awake while it's running whether it's running off battery or not? I think the problem is that Navigation isn't doing that...or more likely, that there is something interfering with it forcing the device to sleep when the screen is off as some sort of power-saving measure. All my "power saving" tools in ROM control are turned off though...

This is odd behavior it is not supposed to do that. Are you sure you are not running some kind of app that is interfering with it? Could you list your apps here or do you have too many? Have you tried uninstalling maps and re-downloading and installing it fro Google market/play?

I really hope Team Kang adds custom swipe up from navbar actions in the Jellybean build (for those of you who are running/have ran Jellybean, I mean when you swipe up for Google Now)
hmmm interesting...that changelog said changes since M5 so im wondering what exactly that means M6 is then...idk...just dont know
I didn't notice any new features since 40 so its only a bug fix build I believe...which is is what Milestones should be. Some people only flash the stable milestones that's why he said since M5, its like choosing to use a stable app rather than beta

Makes sense. I think jelly bean is too buggy for the time being. Once aokp digs into it, I'll try it

That is exactly what I see after reading the changelog.

All of the current ROMs are buggy because they're all based off of a nandroid for a different device when AOKP builds for Jellybean they'll be using the source
Custom brightness is now back-up-able? That is awesome!!
Right! I've yet to see the update in the store yet..but he only posted about an hour ago so it should be coming around soon (bout an hour delay usually)
I clean flashed, was running great, then I messed something up and boot looped. I had everything set up just the way I liked it too didn't feel like doing it again. I didn't see any difference from b40, so I'm not going to bother with it again.
I am still on B40 as I have not had a chance to flash M6 but what is the best way to make the gps lock on faster? Tried to use it yesterday and it took several minutes which drove me crazy. Is there an app of zip to flash that would help?

Thanks!
Mitch put out an excellent gps fix (flashable in cwm) that I used on b39 and b40. Let me see if I can find it I post back in this post.
EDIT: oh yes here it is. And it rocks socks! Make a backup before flashing just in case
Am I the only idiot that can't even download M6? I haven't seen anyone else having problems with the aokp webpage, but it isn't working for me at all.
If I click on the download & changelog link (for either m6 or b40) it directs me to the releases page on the aokp site with the 5 latest releases. If I click on the M6 option, it just reloads that exact same page, even though it says milestone-6-r27 in the address bar. I've tried on my phone (mobile and the full site) and 3 different browsers on 2 different computers, all with identical results.
Is it just me?
ETA: Since I first typed this up, a couple people have posted the same problem in the rootzwiki forums. Now that I know I'm not alone, I'll be patient while it gets figured out... :-/
