Just came here to post this myelf. I've heard the BAMF crew was hard at work for some time. Doing a nand backup as I'm typing this, files loaded, MD5's checked. We shall see what they've brought. Knowing the team, I expect it'll be top notch.

I had great success with BAMF ROMS back on my Thunderbolt, I'm not sure that I can leave AOKP or LiquidRoms, though. Nand'ing as I speak.

Uh yeah, it's killer good as expected. Allowed me to get rid of several apps including Nova Launcher, something I didn't think I would ever do. Everything is built in! And custom to this rom which is the ultimate coolness. Not a kang rom to be sure. Highly recommend.

Since it dropped, very slick, aesthetically sharp (besides the battery icon), will give it some time before judgement day

What are you coming from all of you? A comparison to your ex rom would be nice too.

liquid v1 & aokp b26.

*ROM is extremely well built. Anything adryn and ihtfp are behind is going to smoke and be well though out.

i do like customization and aokp m3 is the best one IMHO

however i am making my nandroid of m3 as we speak to test this out

i do like the miui battery bar every now and then

i do not like % in my battery though, unless its a circle or gummy battery icon.

so some mods will be great adryn

Coming from the 4.0.4 leak. While I am digging this ROM, I switched to 4.0.4 for the bug fixes, including battery drain. I really like the starting point of this ROM. It will only get better. Team BAMF puts out a great product. It is up to El Goog to release some updated source code for crying out loud!

i noticed facebook contacts do not sync.. (was that the plan?)
market apps do not begin to automatically downloading.. (was that the plan?)
though i must say i noticed the battery took a dump
89 upon start up of this rom, tweaked a few settings, downloaded tibu, tibu pro, twitter, fb, fb messenger, and tweak deck, then messed with visual settings, and before 10 mins of use it was down to 69%

it was just odd it used that much juice for 10 mins of use.

i will run it the rest of the day and see how it fairs out.

Yes on the Facebook sync (planned), not sure about the market autoload thing. Sounds like a few others are hinting at iffy battery life also but so far, mine has been spectacular. I'm at 89% after 4.5 hrs of runtime. Although I haven't been taxing it hard, that's still unheard of for me. I'm just hoping it's still this good in a few more days.

Why is it up to Google to release the source for a version of software that was leaked without authorization?

Because that's why we were so hot on the phone. Open source, unlocked bootloader, you know all that good stuff.

So open source and an unlocked bootloader mean Google has to distribute incomplete code on your say so?

I see. Funny, my GNex didn't seem to come with the odd sense of entitlement that yours did.

I think everyone is just hopeful that Google will release some newer code in the hopefully near future. Not to ram it out before it's time but rather just an optimism that we'll have something new to work with soon.

I was not suggesting that they release source it hasn't officially approved...I just want it released. No harm in saying I want something released. Please take this with positive intent. And it is up to Google, when it deems ready, to release it. Last time I checked it is their OS.

ok so back on topic.....

i flashed this last week and had to swap back to aokp the same day. it runs very well, the customization is nice ect. but i had it lock up on me 3 different times. all 3 times were completely random...i was on a web site once, opened up an app another, and was in my gallery the 3rd time. seemed like it was just churning the CPU full throttle because in the 20 seconds or so it was locked up, it got really warm, and when i rebooted, i was down about 8% battery each time.

just wondering if anyone had the same issue? this was with included kernal not tweaked at all and using the same apps that i use on AOKP every day with great success.

I had to go back to AOKP because of the options. Only had it running overnight but it was really smooth.

This is definitely one of the top roms. It's a nandroid. AOKP is the go to rom for me, at this point in time.

I have to say i like BAMF so far. I did have one random reboot the other night in the middle of a call even. Haven't had one since. Or any other issues.

I'm also using the newest LeanKernel with this rom as well.

1.1 you're talking about here?

Was your reboot while on lean or adryn's stock kernel?

Thanks

Thanks
reboot was on 1.0 while still using stock bamf kernel.

I didn't update to 1.1 because the change log didn't appeal to me. Then i put on 2.0.0 i think it was lean kernel. No reboots again so far. Still liking it. Just found out i could change the colors of the softkeys a couple days ago lol

Yep, I'm still on it too. Great amount of customization not found on other roms. Similar stuff in many cases but with a unique flair of it's own. I'm getting real solid battery life from Adryn's kernel too. I've always been impressed with his kernels.

i have been on franco for quite some time, and yeah bamf for me is the best and most stable rom i have ran, aside from apex, but i will always try the new stuff, cause i have a problem, and need to go to AFA (Android Flashers Anonymous)

I just installed this for the first time today and I like it except that the Google Market will not run. It keeps force closing. I installed the custom gapps file at the same time as the new ROM (from recovery) and have not done any customization yet. Tried rebooting phone again but the issue persists.

Has anyone else had this issue? I suppose I could try re-flashing both ROM and gapps again or return to AOKP (despite liking some of the new features, most notably that Wallet is working again).

Have you tried wiping data from the market/playstore app? Go to settings >apps >all >market or play store whichever shows >clear data

also did you do a wipe before you installed the rom? Also did you check the MD5 of your downloads? I haven't had this issue with this Rom. I'm still on 1.0 because 1.1 didn't appeal to me.

FWIW a leak of the new B.A.M.F build has surfaced on the net. It's an Alpha version tho that is a week or so old. I wouldn't recommend anyone try it.

I'm rooting my gnex today, (I'm just not patient anymore waiting for the .04/.05/.0[insert new update to update here], and I have 2 questions about the ROMS as I am really extra super hi end interested in this one.

I rooted and flashed just about everything to my DX and my Bionic before they both had freak gardening accidents the authorities felt best left unsolved, and the process was really simple, however, the more I read about the GNEX the more complicated it all seems. Do I need the .04 leak to flash ROMS and if so, where do I find the DL? I keep finding forums and the thread is either down or the file won't DL.

Also, why flash separate radios, and kernels as I thought all of those were included in the specific ROM?

Am I missing something?

Thank you in advance for your help and patience,
-K

I installed this ROM on Saturday (my first one ever).
No, you do not need 4.0.4 to install this.

I saw! And here I am in the process of flashing 1.1

Do I need to be on the .04 leak or can I just flash the update as is?

Are y'all on the primela03 bootloader or is it required for this 1.2 install?
