Default So....I was going to Root tonight

I logged into Phandroid on my computer to get my instructions and root my device. Of course on the front page the 4.04 rumor pops up that the Verizon Nexus is receiving it tomorrow. I still will be rooting regardless, but at this point is it better to see if an official update comes out and then root or does it not really matter. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if this belongs in the sub-forum or not. Please move if so. Thank you.

I went ahead and moved this to the Verizon all things root section for you.

One thing about OTAs is that they will commonly break root. If you plan on taking the OTA if it comes out tomorrow, waiting a day may be a good idea. You could unlock the bootloader tonight, as you can take the OTA with no worries if all you do is unlock it. But remember that will wipe your phone, so backup all your media etc.. First.

Thank you for the answer. I will unlock the bootloader then since it will give me something to do. Hopefully the update is released as rumored.
