Default Is it safe to mix LTE and CDMA radios?

Is it safe to mix versions? Like the CDMA radio from 4.0.2 and the 4G radio from the newest 4.0.4?

I have a droid razr on the way. But last night i couldn't stand it any longer. So i flashed the newest leak to my G Nex...low and behold i now get an acceptable level of 4G in my home. ....however my 3G signal is minimally better at best. This worries me for obvious reasons because Voice calls go over 3G. I could really care less about getting better 4G at home or even 4G period as i'm always on my home wifi.

I wouldn't do it personally, I don't know whats involved in the hand off between the two.

Judging by what you wrote what would be the benefit anyway? You mention 3G is "minimally better" its not worse, so why try to jump down 3G versions?

I personally have not done it, but there are a plethora of people out there running "hybrid" radios like you speak of doing. The whole reason for this is the simple fact that when loading a radio pkg, the cdma part might be great, but lte not so much. Then you load a radio pkg and have a great lte experience but poor cdma. That is when you mix and match. Maybe go here
