Default 160+ character SMS converted to MMS

Hey everyone, so today I decided to switch from GoSMS Pro to an inverted stock MMS app, and I love everything about it, except I noticed that whenever I exceed 160 characters, it automatically converts the message to an MMS. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? It's kind of annoying.

If it makes a difference, I'm running JBSourcery 2.0 with LeanKernel 4.2

Should I just get GoSMS back? I love the stock messaging app since it works better in the notification bar

I use Go SMS myself, so I can't really chime in on the stock. But if you've checked for settings like "split messages after 160 characters" and things, and nothing seems out of the ordinary, you might wanna switch back and see what happens.
