I gotta say, I haven't seen some of these features in a ROM before and I was waiting for a stable release from TeamLiquid since I was on Liquid back on ICS. I'm super excited and it's running super smooth for me. I flashed LeanKernel 4.3 along with and running justinbeans inverted gapps, and this thing is awesome so far.
For the notification pull down menu, is there a way to customize the toggles? I see a toggle setting, but all it does is add another row of different style toggles.

If you go to Settings > Liquid Splasher > Toggles, you can customize them from there. To get rid of the second row, go to Settings > Liquid Splasher > Widget, and disable the Power Widget.
Or vice versa depending on if you want the toggles or widget.

The toggle/widget thing was a little confusing. Thanks for the help.
So far I'm enjoying this ROM. Good mix of CM10 and AOKP customizations. Haven't been able to really give battery life a good review, but that's because I've been messing with my phone since I flashed. The only problem I've run into is getting the custom wallpaper on the lockscreen to work (it just shows my homescreen wallpaper). Also, if the stock launcher had the ability to apply custom icons without using a theme, it would be pretty much perfect for my needs.

No problem.
As for the custom icons, did the stock launcher ever allow for custom icons? I think you would need a custom launcher like Nova or Apex to do that

Not that I can ever remember. I wasn't really complaining, just wishful thinking. It's easy enough to download another launcher. I just noticed they took the time to build their own launcher, and figured that might be an option in a future release.
Having connection issues. Always having to switch network mode just to get a connection. One minute WiFi is on and full blue bars to no gray bars. So I would have to switch to LTE and that doesn't work gotta switch to 3g. Not fun toggling network mode.
I went to the Rootwikiz page to se if i could find any info on when 4.1.2 would be merged into this ROM, had little luck. Apparently the only do new releases on IRC (i've never used IRC before). Anyone have any links to RC4 or anything?

Try going to Settings > WiFi > Advanced and make sure Turn WiFi Off When Sleeping isn't checked.
If that doesn't do it, clean or dirty flash?

I don't think 4.1.2 is that big but haven't heard of anything. I'm sure it'll be merged before the next release

I clean flashed and had the same issues. Even after changing the WiFi off while sleeping option was returned to off.
The kicker is that the signal indicators make you think you have an internet connection but theres no communication going on. Toggling airplane mode was always enough to get it back, but that's kind of painful, especially if you don't know you're missing notifications and just pull your phone out to occasionally look for new emails and such.
If you read through the rootzwiki thread you'll see you're not alone on this one, unfortunately no one from the liquid team seems to respond, I also tried looking for help in IRC but had no luck.
Gonna give this one more try. Gonna flash tonight n see what happens. I think it might be the new baseband version. Had same problem with the new XenonHD rom. Version 9 worked fine
I went ahead and dirty flashed, as I never did it before and already made a nandroid yesterday. Seems to be working fine, but I haven't really done anything except send a text.

Any luck with Google Wallet?
I don't use Wallet, but when I was restoring through TiBu, the restore hung at Wallet so I decided not to restore it. I didn't use the Liquid gapps though so that's probably why

I used the Gapps and nothing showed up. I tried to sideload it, and it wouldn't install. Same when I moved the apk to system/apps. I'll just keep an eye on the Rootzwiki thread until they find a solution.

Hey Viper, not to change the subject but I saw you were having some bad idle battery drain on jbsourcery. I am having the same issue. Can you comment on how it is for the new liquid rom?

I'm using LeanKernel 4.4 on both roms, so your results will probably very, but I get 8 hours of sleep and I turn everything off when I sleep. Data, wifi, sync everything. So 8 hour idle on JBSourcery resulted in a 23% loss.
Same scenario with RC5: 11% loss. So I'm happy lol
I just flashed the ROM and gapps. No wiping or anything. And everything seems to be working OK. Signal seems fine for the first 12 hrs. Gonna see how the next couple days go.

I tried installing this ROM but it wouldn't install. I made a back up while on CWM Touch Recovery but once It didn't install I flashed TWRP Recovery wiped what needed to be wiped on my phone and this ROM still won't install. I get error and this is what it reads /data/media/Download/Liquid-JB-v2.zip (Status 7) Now my phone is unusable because it won't let me recover from my backup which I backed up with CWM Touch Recovery. Can someone please help me? I'd love to be able to use my phone again soon lol. Thanks

Dirty flashed over RC5. Seems to be running a lot smoother. Some bugs I had before seem to have been fixed. So far so good. i was going to give CNA a try before whoever has 4.2 first gets a build up, but I might just stick with this for a while longer. We'll see.
works well. only bug i've encountered is when going into the display under the settings. you can still change them, but they force close afterwards.
Have you ever stayed on a rom for longer than a day? Lol it seems like you're on every single piece of software there is. How do you have the time for this?
I am having trouble using the WiFi Hotspot with this ROM. I turn on the native Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, and I can see it and connect to it, but local access only. No internet access. I did a full wipe prior to installing RC7. Am I missing a setting, or what?

I do recall that sometimes I would have to troubleshoot the network connection on my PC sometimes to get it to work on various roms, but not for Liquid. It was one of the few that always worked for me

The problem exists for any device I connect to the hotspot: pc, tablet, etc.
I moved over to AOKP for a little while, but I got tired of not getting my Gmail and GV text notifications in a timely fashion, so I decided to come back over to Liquidsmooth. I've pulled down RC8, and on the whole, I'm liking it very much. One thing bugging me though - I can't seem to find the face unlock option, although I can find the others (PIN, password, etc.). I was last on Liquidsmooth in the beta versions before this series of release candidates, and it was still in those. Did they remove that option, or am I just not finding it? It's not a show-stopper, but it was a cool thing to have. Thanks for any suggestions offered.
