Default Please help. Need advice.

Purchased a note 3 from eBay. Seller never disclosed the phone was rooted with safestrap. Not very happy about that. Phone is fine until I wanted to update to 4.4. It would not install. Was getting an error. It would download but failed to install.
So I Un rooted the phone through super user. Than tried to root again thorough Kinko and it failed to root several times. Why?
So now I'm stuck. Phone works fine but I would like to set it back to stock and take safestrap off so I can sell it because I bought another one.
Is there anyone that can give me step by step instructions on how to get this phone to factory settings like it did out of the box. Because now when it boots it goes thorough safestrap, it's not rooted and it won't let me root for some reason. Plus I can't upgrade to 4.4. What a mess. Can anyone help? Thanks

Kingo never worked for me either. VRoot worked the first time. So, if you need to root it again download and use VRoot.

If you want to get back to stock then you will need to download a stock firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528707 and then boot into Odin and flash the stock firmware. This link covers all that Rooting and ROMming Guide

This video shows how to flash a stock firmware in Obin at the beginning of the video...that part starts at around 6:00. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukajWoxI3Tg

If it already has Safestrap, it's not much more work to install the Hyperdrive 8 4.4.2 ROM, which gives you all the benefits of 4.4.2 without the bloatware and restrictions. Just my 0.02, for what that's worth

Chief,

Speaking of that...has loading 4.4.2 got any easier yet?
