Default Unlock SIM?

Can this be done on the S4 yet? Looking to travel outside US and want to buy local SIM.

You're only option for unlocking would be to have Verizon unlock it at this point. Users are prohibited from unlocking the sims for phones on their own since Jan 2013 due to the update to the DCMA. Therefore it's illegal punishable by a 2500 dollar fine per device. Therefore, it is also prohibited from being discussed here at AF.
