Default Wifi sharing

Hi,

Since Verizon is notorious for disabling their phones,
has anyone with an Android Verizon phone able to share wifi by using the share wifi app?

Thanks!

Please clarify what you mean by that. Are you looking to tether your phone or use it as a wifi access point?

If you root it, its possible. Heck, if you use PDAnet, you can tether via USB on an unrooted phone. Besides putting Verizon Wireless branding on the physical phone, I don't think they even touch the OS.

Is it possible without "rooting" it and without USB. I thought there was an Android app that converts the phone into a wifi access point? Any success stories?
