One thing that I am not understanding is why the device keeps losing the current time and date. I have not notice if it only happens when the battery dies, or exactly at what point it changes.
Not matter what, I would expect there is some sort of watch battery type of thing like the CMOS battery in a computer that keeps time when the system is off. Does it not have one of those?

Mine happens when my battery completely dies then it Goes back to normal.
Edit: my battery died too and my clock and date was incorrect also. I noticed that my market was not fixed either so I redid the market fix and boom my clock went back to normal. So I'm assuming that when the battery dies it loses connection to the google apps. After I did the market fix, my gmail resync'd too.
