If it wasn't for the plan pricing change that would come with the Elite I'd consider it for that price. But now that I have a tablet I am not in that big of a rush to upgrade my Optimus V.

Well, it's listed on walmart.com already, depending on what date it's released, you might be able to get it with the $25 plan.
Didn't the plans change when the Triumph was released? Maybe you guys are right and they release one of those phones on the new plans
The plan for new people did. But other people who already had the plan were gandfathered in so now VM is getting rid of the grandfathered plan all entirely for people who get a new phone manufactured after May whatever. This is one of the only ways they can get people off of the granfathered plan

It's probably because the newest phone released after May will likely carry 4G.
They'll be unable to grandfather if that's the case. It won't be cost efficient.
They may release one more 3G phone shortly before the 4G is introduced (After May 27th). I would not recommend anyone get hasty. Since your price plan will be changing by the end of May anyways, Why not wait for a better device?
Yeah but this is the VM section and he said ICS was coming so I was under the impression that it was going to be coming to Virgin but that particular phone is going to Boost.

If the Design has it, I'd be shocked if the Evo V 4G didn't. They were both in line for the update and I think it might have already dropped. Consequently, them putting it in the new production models isn't a stretch.
When DH and I first got around to cell phones, we were in a low-income situation. We're not now, but still prefer the much lower prices and not having to deal with contracts.

The HTC Evo 3D has been at Sprint for quite some time (in fact, Sprint is retiring the phone), so I would think one would be able to get a round about price check by looking at the Sprint version of the phone at BestBuy (in case they sell out or remove the add, it's $199.99 USD).
Of course, right here on Android Forums you can peruse the HTC Evo 3D forums to see what others think of the phone. If I do make the switch then I think this might be a phone I would heavily research before I spend my cash.

I love the $25- plan and am sticking to it now more than ever out of principle.
Virgin has really lost me here. I don't mind that they increase their fees but to introduce it this way is a little silly. The customer is essentially being penalized for buying a new phone from them? What kind of logic is this???

Optimus Elite is being shipped on the 15th so that should still be on the $25 plan.
