Hey folks,
I merged 3 different threads into this one here, sorry if stuff is a bit choppy, but we don't really need that many different threads about the same thing.

This phone looks like a beast to grab than the HTC One V. The first dual-core (1.2Ghz) phone in the VM line if we grab it. Most importantly, if the phone comes with 4G as well, I am moving from my Triumph to this bad boy. Price tag at $300 bucks should be fine around there.
Too bad if it does have 4g no one or at least very few people will be able to use it... Have any of you looked at Sprint's 4g coverage map. There are hardly any places with it. Just saying...

I just saw the 4G coverage of Sprint. I myself am living at a urban area (Oakland, east of San Francisco) and has 4G coverage. Los Angeles too if I were to move there in the near future, I'm not much of a traveler either.

Cool. Sprint doesn't have any 4g around me... The closest place is Seattle which is a few hundred miles away from me...
Here's my two cents:
Sprint is rolling out LTE now, they still have a contract with Clearwire for WiMax/4G thru 2015. VM will get the WiMax bands, Sprint uses the LTE, and when the contract runs out in 2015, the LTE network will be complete and VM will then move to LTE alongside Sprint.
At that point some new tech will be coming along, and LTE will be old news.
If that's the case, It's best to move to T-Mobile for that 4G of 5GB plan, I rarely call at all.
If an extra 4G fee is required for Evo 3D 4G, then it'll make my decision to go with the One V easier (still 3G). I'd only go to Tmobile's $30/mo plan if VM doesn't have any new phones coming out, but it looks like that's about to change soon.

I honestly do not want to change carrier and I do not wanna try to use 3G to surf with, i hate the waiting on the 3G. I want 4G but if that costs like an extra five bucks then it competes the T-Mobile plan ($30 bucks) for a GF'd account ($25 bucks). Any higher than I'll make the move for the best price for 4G and I do live in 4G coverage area provided by the Sprint coverage map, I do not travel around either so this is still a good move.
Look at the actual MSRP... $900. Also that sale price is through Amazon not through a phone company. Although all the phones that VM has are a hell of a lot cheaper than what other post paid companies sell the phones off contract. My guess would be that they would sell it for around $500 if they could get the cost to produce down... But we will find out eventually if it is even coming to VM.
I am sorry. I do not have any information on products or services that haven’t launched yet. You can always go to our website for the latest news on our new products. That’s where we’ll announce it first.

The likely price on VM would be the current "market" price for the Evo 3D, plus a bit less for VM's subsidies since the phone only works on their carrier. They can figure out the average monthly revenue a customer keeps on the carrier per device and subsidize based on that. I'm guessing $300-350 release price, then goes down from there over time.
I recently posted about Sprint upgrading to EvDo Rev B, which is about 3x faster than Rev A. The Evo 3D supports EvDo Rev B so it sounds plausible.....
Oh wow do I hope this is true. I just hope I'd be able to keep my $25 plan. If not, I'd probably hold on to my Triumph. I just get the feeling that they will introduce new "4G plans" that are required to use this phone. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I consider that MSRP Absolute BS. It's controlled by the carriers and they place it where they want it to influence customers to sign a contract to get the discount price of the phone.
I think we can consider the development costs of the phone paid for since this has been out a year. Consequently, the only costs associated with it would be the direct labor, direct materials, and overhead associated with it's manufacture. Given the age of the product, I can't imagine that these costs would exceed $300.
As for Subsidies, I doubt VM subsidizes their products at all as their service is priced so low. I think that's the point of pre-paid. Honestly, I don't expect this (if it does happen) to be priced over $400. More realistically, I'm thinking $300-$350.
I'll then be monitoring slickdeals.net for a quality price on it.

its true, the intercept when introduced to VMU was priced over 100 dollars lower than the sprint "MSRP" if you were to purchase an intercept with them. And when the VMU price fell that sprint version remained rock steady at 350.
