Default Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Any word yet? Last years sale was huge and I'm hoping they do it again. Got my Triumph for 130 last year. Maybe an Evo V or a GSII this year?

Great thread I should be receiving a sales paper in the mail soon. Once I do, I'll post any sales I see.

There's actually a website I signed up for a long time ago and they regularly send emails as soon as the sales papers are leaked online. Black Friday

Personally, from what I can find, it looks like it would be better to buy the Rise at $30. You get ICS (instead of GB), a faster processor, a slightly larger screen and more built in storage. Especially at this price, I can't see what would make the Slider a better deal.

It also seems weird to me that the Optimus Elite is being marketed as a PayLo device. Anyone have thoughts about that?

I think that's a typo, it's listed on Virgin's site as a Beyond Talk device.

You can still use the $25 plan with the Slider, but not with the Rise.

The solder wouldn't be for me it would be for my mom. She kinda hates full touch screen phones and wants a phone with a slide out keyboard. So that's why I ask.

It's been on sale for 20% off since a month after it launched. $240 for a prepaid dual core with WiMax, 4.3" screen, 1GB ram,ICS plus 3d is a pretty cheap price. Especially considering that they're still selling the Triumph for $200.

Default Radio Shack Sales

Just got back from Radio Shack. They have the HTC One V for $99.99 Black Friday. They also have a "Red Hot Sale" from 11/18 - 11/21. In that one the Samsung Galaxie S II is $299.99 plus free $35 airtime. Both sales have coupons of $10 for every $50 spent. The Galaxie S II will get $50 in coupons. They cannot be combined so each coupon has to be used separately.

This is Virgin Mobile only. They have other sales for Boost, etc.

Did the Radio Shack have both White & Titanium Galaxy SII's? The Virgin Mobile web site says Costo gets white only, and Radio Shack gets titanium only...

Couldn't tell for sure from the ad (which I kept). Looks dark though. The salesgirl wasn't even aware of the sale. Had to point it out since she was also wanting a SG2 and was looking at Boost. Was happy I pointed it out as she preferred VM... Felt like I was a salesman for her...

I hope none of you buy a HTC EVO V 4G, you'd be disappointed. I'm thinking I need to sell my evo v before Friday so I can get the max money back for that stupid so called phone.

I was thinking of buying the Evo V. That or the GS2, depending on which one has a better deal for black Friday or cyber Monday.

Did you see this online or was it something they told you about at the store? I've been looking for information on this sale, but have'nt found anything online.

*EDIT*

Called some local stores. At the first one the sales girl didn't know, told me to come in and look. Second one, guy confirmed the sale! IT'S ON!!!

I actually have the ad in my possession so it is definitely official. The salespeople in the stores are not kept up to date or properly trained which may be one of the reasons why they are having problems...

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Evo V except for the Radio Interface Errors, which Virgin Mobile has said they're sending out updates to fix it this week. After that is fixed, the Evo will be a great phone. Everything else works perfectly.

I don't understand why people say it's a horrible phone, just because of ONE problem that can be fixed.

And the Reverb is only $100. I really am interested in that phone, even though most people don't have much to say about it.

Couldn't get the Kyocera Rise (for my wife, likes QWERTY and not a modder/hacker) on Amazon. Went to Target last night at 9 and got it for $30.

Yeah that was weird. I figured they would have flown off the shelves. When I went they had 2 on the shelf and it looked like 3 more behind the electronics counter on the floor. It seems like a pretty good phone even for $100 let alone for $30. I grabbed one from Target for my daughter. For her it will be a fantastic upgrade from her Intercept.

Oh God yes. I had an intercept before my hacking/modding days and it was painful. Even after modding my wife's intercept...it still sucked. Got her the Optimus Slider, that was okay for her needs but even that ran out of memory with her minimal usage. Hopefully this will be sufficient enough or I'm gonna give her my Evo when I get my Nexus⁴.

My husband curses his Intercept on a daily basis. He needs a QWERTY keyboard, so we bought a Rise for him. I was gonna get one too, but it was just not in the budget. I will pick up something after Christmas I think. I will be moving him to the Rise tomorrow, so hopefully it functions better than the POS Intercept

That seems like a great price on the One V. I saw one suggestion that, at that price, it would be worth it to buy and use as an Android music player/camera if you don't need the phone.

HTC Evo V 4G for $149.99 shipped directly from Virgin Mobilen+$22.50 back in FatCash

If you read a few posts down, one guy figured on to get the Evo V for less than 130!

I suppose the same method could work to get the GSII for less than 235, if anyone wants to try that.
