I was going to wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday to see if it goes on sale, but this was kind of hard to pass up so I went for it. I figure I've got 30 days to exchange it if it goes on sale for a better price.
For a while, I was kind of hesitant to buy this phone, since it was having trouble sending texts and getting calls--the two things a phone absolutely should do. Now that the update is going out, people who've received it seem to be reporting that the problem is fixed, so I feel a lot better about this phone.

Is the Reverb really that bad? I was really looking to get one. The Evo is nice and all, but I just don't like Sense, especially compared to Touchwiz

If you are looking at paying Evo V prices, then get the Galaxy SII. Though you might wait until Monday and see what CyberMonday discounts you can get.

I pre ordered mine and received it the launch week, got it for $280 shipped with my RS discount, even knowing now that I could have waited 5 months to get it for 1/2 price I would definitely have still anxiously waited to get it at launch. Considering the Intercept cost me $275 and the Triumph about the same I'm quite happy with what I paid and the current prices are simply amazing. For 1/2 the cost of the S2 on sale it's a no brainer.
