Script manager? Sorry, as I said: I'm pretty damn new to this. I feel dumb for asking, but what is script manager? Do I access it through CWM? What's the procedure? I've heard of people pulling out certain aspects of roms, and adding those aspects to their favorite roms. I just don't know how to do it, or whether those aspects would be compatable. (trying to avoid getting into bootloop/ troubleshooting- I've done plenty of that already and it's very frustrating.)

Now that I've had this rom since september It's finally acting like its android self. On boot, the phone has close to 140mb of ram but once it's finish media scanning and everything it goes all the way down to 79mb. Been doing that too frequently
I found myself a small solution though, i downloaded AutoKiller Memory Optimizer from the play store and set it to aggressive, now it's as smooth as it was when I first installed it and ram at a constant 100-130mbs
Another thing I have noticed is this rom goes crazy after you go down to 11% on the battery, pressing on phone opens up text messages instead lol or sometimes I can't even unlock it probably just good ol crap android and not the rom build itself

Could try Pimp My Rom. Get the CWM Version HERE. You can add shtye loads of tweaks with it, one of them a tweak that manages the minimum of RAM that should be free (think is called the OOM manager?). You should check it out

In all honesty, I would try a simple re-installation of OA rom. With this phones limited /data partition, having any OS for longer than 6 months (coupled with frequent installs/uninstalls, web browsing, etc...) and you'll start to notice significant performance decrease.
Back up your apps with TIBU, and reinstall the ROM. Then worry about PMR tweaks

Wow. I did just reinstall the rom and some how it made things worse, my 3g was lost haha. Oh well restoring now. I'll try reinstalling again later Haven't had a phone give me such problems in a long time, It's not out beating me though lol

Often times with this rom(phone) when reflashing or rebooting the settings in settings/wireless networks/mobile networks will revert to "Cricket" toggle switch to automatic. This has been the issue more often than not in my experience with this device.

Ah I'll check that out thanks! I had forgotten I changed that out of curiosity when I first flashed it. I've never had it changed after rebooting various times

installed this tonight, my first rom on it, great so far
one thing though, is it possible to access the bluetooth settings menu while in airplane mode? (can still turn it on and off via power widget, even though menu option is greyed) since only use it with wifi, it's in airplane mode 100% of the time

If you power Bluetooth on while in airplane mode, then yes
I've been riding this one strong for months now. I've even tried to find other roms that would suit me better, but still am settled on old faithful OA. My ONLY gripe with this rom is the annoying "boodalaboop" sound it makes when the phone loses or gains signal! It's nothing huge, (obviously I'm still rockin the rom) but can be annoying when I'm riding the subway and signal comes in and out (cuz the subway sometimes is closer to ground level, and then sometimes deep underground) and it interrupts a song that I'm groovin to for that stupid noise!!! Or when I'm driving further upstate to visit parents, it'll happen when I drive thru a metro-deadzone while I got a jamm boomin in the whip! If there's a fix to get rid of that annoying, unnecessary sound, I'll rock this rom till the wheels fall off! Otherwise, I always got my eyes out for something new, which I don't REALLY wanna do cuz it's time-consuming to get all my settings just the way I like them all over again. Anyway, maybe I'll just have to settle but if you guys got any solutions that'd be awesome. Regardless, this rom still kicks @$$.

Well, I'm sure the sound is removable-- I'll check this weekend-- but I think when the signal drops, it will still pause anything media related. I usually turn on airplane mode when I'm country driving to eliminate that.
Strange, I don't recall any disruption in audio playback when I was in stock. Maybe I just never noticed. Regardless, I'm never going back to stock now that I know what's out there!
You are very good at what you do! I have read on about all your rom work. Ever do anything for Sprint Zio 2.2 ? I updated and lost MEID .... update went perfect except that loss?? I know this is wrong area but is the only way to contact you in this regard.

Dsp manager wont work for ish no matter what I do.
screenshot app apparently taking different color screens. I would upload but browser keeps reloading.
Not much development here and this phone is making me pull my hair out, plus a couple throws against the wall and still working. My Motorola bravo came out before this phone and is still faster just mad it can't be flashed to cricket. Sorry for my rant just done with this phone.

i've noticed one odd issue lately: when listening to slacker radio, the music constantly sounds like it's lagging, like the phone isn't fast enough or something, i force closed most everything (except for non-app stuff needed for the phone to run) and the songs are still rather crackly, and laggy, any idea what could be going on?
i'm still using using the same sd card from when it was stock, and it was fine, then so don't think it's that
edit: the lag only seems to happen with cached stations, streaming over wifi plays fine, hmm...
edit: i think i figured it out: i haven't done much of anything in the votage control app that's installed with this rom, and i noticed that on the low end it's set for 196mhz, and considering the app is only using 10% cpu, it probably isn't enough to make the phone go up to full speed, but now that i've set the low end to 800mhz, it's playing perfectly again without any lag, yay, lol
so one question i guess, (since i have no idea at this point) does the stock rom just keep it at 800mhz 100% of the time or is there some feature built in that does the same kind of thing, that this app overrides?
(since it looks like i can't delete this post)

+1
Stock system without a cpu controller will have a default cpu threshold and scaling, usually ranging down to 196Mhz. Thats why CPU control apps are good.
Try SetCPU, it has more options and the ability to set profiles for various functions.
Also, I wouldnt set the low-end scaling to 800. That means your phone will be forced @ 800Mhz 100% of the time which will kill your battery and heat up your phone unnecessarily. Try 320Min.
flashed it about an hour ago...have'nt really messed with it except i installed swype...i've become addicted to it ...
first thing that made me grin...NEW START UP ANIMATION.....WOOO... man ..i tried so many things to get a diff animated start up and was about to try cynagenmod just because of that ...but, i'm a family guy so camera is mandatory.
dig how the screen closes when i lock it....i have to get used to the menus..but, everything is so nice it's not gonna be a pain at all..i can tell it's going to be a constantly good experience .

This is the thread I've pretty much lived in while using/modding my Vitality, and I wanted to say thanks a TON to you guys for your support and hacking. I just picked up the cricket HTC One SV (like moving up to a star destroyer from a tie fighter) so I'm gonna go hang out in an pretty empty forum for now, :-D , but I really felt the need to say thank you all for your support. You guys have made a semi-junk phone work for me for far far longer than it really should have! o7
p.s.
I only say semi-junk in relation to what I've got now...the Vitality, for its price/hardware is actually a damned nice little piece of gear.
apps and even pandora ...when doing a search or skipping a song ...they'll occasionally give me an error ...BUT, not a fatal error....
and all it does is skip back to before i did the search/skip...my fone has become a parttime time travel machine
so it's a hiccup... no real issue like with the admire ++ rom that rebooted 10 times a day...
spb was nice...but, the admire can't afford the room.
and at one time i had up to 3/4 of empty space on the fone...and i forgot how..changed all the fonts and bricked it...that was a stable build till that..
i really feel like this is the most i can do..i'm basically done with my quest to find the best...
i just have to fight the urge and leave it alone.....lol... and at one time i even wanted to flush my admire because of the font thing...silly human..
AND i forgot to mention in my first post .... i flashed this rom while driving to pick up my kids from school....that easy...and i still love it...even with the hiccups.... OHHH.....please post a pic of the OG OA wallpaper...i changed it and then wished i had held on to it a little longer just because it's cool

Im loving this ROM!
Oh btw the busybox app is the only thing that is confusing to me, it says there is an update, should I install the the update and will it help my phone in anyway? Also if I want to am I safe to uninstall this app?
This my main and favorite ROM only problem is slow network and internet can you or somebody make a build.prop that make the wifi internet and network faster it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!
Sorry, but build.prop tweaks will not make your 3G and WiFi faster. Build.prop tweaks will make your 3G and WiFi connection more consistent, but not faster. And you can't really magically make your 3G and/or WiFi faster. There are lots of different factors that play a role in the speeds. For 3G, it will depend on how many people are using the network, signal strength, carrier restraints, and the environment you're in. For WiFi, it depends on the service you are paying for from your Internet provider, the quality of your router, and again your environment.
your right in a way but wrong in others im no expert but tweaks work I definitely pimp my rom before and changed build.prop and got way better results if you dont think try out the killah rom and see be difference in internet, network and wifi
Sorry to inform you, but build.prop tweaks don't work. I have worked on the Admire long enough to know.
All these tweaks do to make your speeds consistent and resolve the DNS server faster, and that gives the effect of a boost in speeds when loading a webpage. However, if you download something, your download will take forever because, if you would actually *READ* my other post, there are a lot of OTHER things that play a role in your 3G and WiFi speeds. These alleged "speed tweaks" really have the placebo effect.

EQ Settings Mod
My EQ Mods are no longer compatible with the new build -- they make no difference in sound.
BUT,
I have been working on modifying Beats Audio for the R720, and so far I have yet to crash any DSP manager I've installed.
People are welcome to try it, but be forwarned, there is no revert method yet!! So if you decide you dont like it, then you'll have to reflash the ROM, or restore from a backup. Download OA-EQ-Boost-[Beats MOD-R720]-Spz0.zip

I love your mod! It is working without any problems. Thanks for the good work!

I'll chime in as a former vitality owner...this is pretty much the BEST rom out there for this phone. period. Tried a few, and this was the best performance/reliability/features hands down.
Of course don't expect miracles, as the phone itself is pretty limited, but this works a ton better than stock. IMHO.
