So I want to update and root my phone I hae the Wildfire s, and its at 2.3.4 so to update 2.3.5 how can I do this? then how also can I root which is first please do step by step for this phone I am noob and want to learn.

The update really depends on your carrier. One day a pop up will come saying that there is an update to be done and you either click yes or no...
As far as rooting, it depends which phone you have. Is it a GSM phone or a CDMA phone? Also, you need to know which version of HBOOT you have. Depending on which version you have, the method might differ a little.

Do the following:
Pull the battery from your phone and replace it. Hold Volume Down and Power until the phone boots up to "hboot". It should look similar to this:

MARVELC EVT1 SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09.0000
MICROP-0534
RADIO-0.9.00.1226

If you have 2.3.4 then your phone is a MarvelC and can't update to 2.3.5. All the info you need for your phone can be found here:
