Sad Same problem here

Talked to HTC and they gave me this:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your widgets. This is unfortunately a mistake, but you should be able to get them back by going to Menu-Options - Programs - Manage programs - click on "HTC Sense" clear the data and cache.

"This is unfortunately a mistake" - who could guess that?
That didnt help me, it just deleted all my shortcuts...
have told them this, and not heard from them again... Yet

Regards

I sent HTC an email about it and got this reply:

Regarding HTC Wildfire widgets; The Wildfire is a new device which comes preloaded with all the available widgets. The reason your device cannot download any widgets currently is because there are non available. Any HTC widgets that are released will appear when you search in future. Some 3rd party applications offer the ability to create a widget if the developer has designed this feature.

I thought there was a notes widget and a coin flip among others? Anyway I've replied again asking about the notes and coin flip widgets and why they are not pre loaded on my wildfire if this is the case. I wait in anticipation!

Default News from HTC

Hi folks
Just got this from HTC regarding this issue:
Do excuse the long absence of answers. I have tried to investigate further. There is unfortunately no solution at present, but the matter has been escalated, and there should be soon published an update that can correct this. The update will be sent directly to your device, so you do not even have to do anything.

Nice??

The range of HTC widgets is poor but don't forget there is a market full of widgets you can use.

Mine's working. If you haven't installed all the widgets from HTC then it shows you a list of them after you press Get more Widgets.

I got a list of around 11 widgets on a phone used for around a month.
So other than the default ones that are present on the phone, you still have 11 widgets in the Get More Widgets menu.
