Default wildfire not being recognized by my laptop please help !!

hi people
i need help my htc wildfire as suddenly stopped syncing and when i plug it to my laptop i get a message saying that the device isn t being recognise etc... but when i plug my partner htc desire my laptop installe the driver and then sync without a problem... i have tried all the usual steps ( uninstall htc sync , check debugging etc...) i have contacted HTC and tried all the steps they told me too but to no avail i don t know what to do ! i should have stick to nokia

are u using HTC Sync? If so try my phone explorer it's by far easier and better
FJ Software Development also good for getting screen shots on your Android

my friend has problem with his HTC Wildfire .....he can't open it in his laptop with the windows XP ...
