Just un-boxed my Nationite-MIDNite and playing around with it. Will have to get use to the touch screen, though.
If you have time, could you be so kind to post you impressions about this really interesting "low cost" tablet?
How does it work with video avi files? Some information about battery life?
Thank you in advance

Check out SlateDroid and Mp4Nation Forums, there's alot of info on there:

I tried the market fix on my A81-E and it worked first time...

Eversince I got my A81E in mid August from Merimobiles, I have been seeking (beseeching?) for an answer as to how best to solve the riddle of the inability to use A81E with USB Modem to access internet, where NO WIFI. I came across this gadget: Wholesale-Portable wireless Router 3G router freeshipping by HK post
As I am completely ignorant of this field, will some wiser counsel PLE....ASE advise me if I can get this and solve my problem of accessing internet? I am sure there are many who bought A81E who also wish to use it in a car, restaurant, beach, park etc. and so better utilise the money spent.
I received my Wits A81E and it has multiple problems. Time changes everytime I turn it on, sound does not work at all, thinks it is a phone and will not upload Firmware updates. Purchased GPS option does not work (GPS Test does nothing), google maps will not work. Merimobiles wants me to send it back for repair but says I must do so at my own cost! I find this extremely poor customer service for what turned out to be an Android brick.

Is anyone else having these problems?
My A81-E works ok... better now that I've upgraded the OS to build 1122.
Do you know what build of the OS is running on your tablet? You can check it by going to App Drawer -> Settings -> About. The build number should be listed in the build number field. It's a long string of numbers.
If you are interested in seeing what newer builds are available you can find that info here:
Contacted the dealer in China via Skype. Tried the update and it didn't help. Think I just got a bad unit. Just mailed it back for service. Still had to pay shipping. Hopefully they can fix it. Also the SD card would not come out. Had to use the old duct tape trick to get it out.
They need to make the FirmWare update download and installation easier if they want to compete. At least have very detailed instructions. There is no way an average computer user could work the update.
Merimobiles tries really hard to help but this unit just had too much wrong.
I just got the a81-g with android 2.2. So far so good. The g-sensor works, gps works ( it takes time initially, around 1 min to local itself). Google map works fine. Most youtube movies are playable. Internet connection is fast (I have a dual band router and cable modem ( changing it to fios)). The only thing I am complaining is the android does not kills apps that running in the backgroud, have to download app. killers to kill some unnecessary process running ( they will slow the machine down and eat up the battery). So far so good. I will post some pictures later. It looks exactly like the a81e. I think they really hammered out a lot of bugs and I heard they are going to put capacitive screen on their next design and will comming out pretty soon. I bet it is going to be more expensive.....
I have Witstech A81E and a Witstech A81G and cannot recommend purchase of these. Neither model would maintain wifi connection after several minutes of operation which makes these tablets useless. I had to return A81E to Merimobiles two times before they sent me a refurbished unit which would power on under battery power. I ordered the A81G in the meantime but it still drops wifi connection after five minutes. I bought these as low cost experiment with Android tablets and conclude that you get what you pay for. Now I appreciate my Ipad, which was 4 times the cost but at least it works perfectly. Warning, returning units to Merimobiles is very expensive with Canada Post.
Unlike Ipad, the email software for Android sucks! I can receive Yahoo mail, gmail, etc in the google email apps but there is no way to compose new email or reply email.
