I'd update, even with it's bugs 2.1 is much better than 1.6.

ok, have been at this for 2hrs now! still loops!!
i downloaded the superoneclick (1st one and latest one to try and get one to work)
I have also dl the pda client for pc and phone.

When i run the root program it just loops as my x10i just connects and disconnects with the 3 options, connect, connect pc companion and charge phone. i have constantly toggled the usb debug on and off and nothing changes.
What im i doing wrong?

Are you toggling while it's running? Used it myself yesterday to root and only took 2 toggles.

sometimes you have to leave it looping, for 10 to 15 minutes.
