Question Cant get in to "recovery mode" ?

Hey guys! I have a Sony Ericsson xperia x10 mini, rooted ,but I have the stable rom.
But I want a custom ROM.
So I download "Xrecovery installer" , and everything worked fine , i got it installed ,and I can see the "Busybox" ,"Chargemon" and "Xrecovery.tar" in the "bin" folder.

But the problem is that i can't get into "Recovery mode".
I've tryed everything, A widget from the market where I can boot into Recovery mode ,and press the "back" button ,and then turn on my phone ,but nothing works...

So what i am doing wrong??

The recovery widgets and apps don't work universally, so you want to be careful with those.

Did you use this Xrecovery?

Especially notice post #7 in that thread.

I had the same problem with a samsung galaxy s2 phone.
I think you have to find a firmware rom, and flash it, that worked for me.
