Unhappy Trouble with partitioning SD card using xrecovery

I am trying to partition my SD card so that I can install apps on it. My details are given below:
· Got a Sony Errikson x10 mini pro
· Updated from Android 1.6 to 2.1
· Rooted the phone using Superoneclick
· Installed xrecovery --- this is my problem – I cannot find the option to partition the SD. It is supposed to be in the “Advanced” option, but it isn’t

Could someone please please help me?

Are you sure you're using the latest version?

I wouldn't be overly keen on using recovery tools to partition SD Cards (or partitioning them at all actually), so I'd recommend doing it with Windows.

I second that advice. You can't do it with windows alone, since you'll want to have an ext (Linux) partition, which Windows can't create. This partition manager is free and I used it to partition my cards:

Best Free Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.
