Restart often, n fc sumtimes on certain apps.. Happens after I applied app2sd
restart only occurs when the phone is loaded too much..
when the phone kinda stops for awhile, while loading any application let it take its time if you get impatient and use home/back/menu or any key the phone is prone to get restart
Hey, i want to do the sd card partitioning for app2sd and i need help.
Mine is 8gb and i think it's class 2(not sure), so what should i put on the Unallocated Space, Partition size and Unallocated Space After? i don't understand that part. I don't really need so much space for my apps/games, maybe 900mb-1gb is enough for me.
if you cant get your score above 500 means your jit is not working
no you dont need to disable it
i see, but i want to make it right and dont want to see that cannot be found so here is my question
where should i put the busy box?
sdcard/JiT-toggle-0.1 folder - the extracted download
or
c:\adb folder(w/c have the files adb.exe/adbWinUsbApi.dll/adbWinApi.dll/ and the pulled buildprop) - the one i made on my computer
or
somewhere else that this guide did not mentioned?

Is Xrecovery mandatory for Apps2sd and JIT installations? So far, I can't seem to do anything when i'm going for apps2sd. all i get after typing "su" is permission denied or something similar to that...
okay... I got the "su" part going, I think. but now when I type "sh /sdcard/app2sd.sh" it says that it can't open it... what gives?
can't seem to do it... just says can't open over and over. i'm missing something... i'm going to sleep for now, hope this thing works tomorrow. night guys

i think Xrecovery is mandatory im experiencing some problems too, but i managed to run JiT but the busy box is missing, so in order to fix that we need to do Xrecovery 1st
a lot of helpful guys in here, and i learned a lot with my experience in doing this
Hello everyone, first post here.
I am new to all this and with your help I have learned a lot and have some extra things to share.
If anyone installs app2sd and find they have not gotten the free internal space they were expecting I can help.
Using Root Explorer or similar app on your X8 navigate to /data/appbak
If this directory is empty your all good but if there is any files you can delete them all. They are the original apk's from before the app2sd procedure and you don't need them any more.
Another bonus is to be found in the /data folder, you can delete dop.iso which is the PCCompanion installation file for your PC to free up an additional 13mb

When you type su check out your phone it will ask for permission
Tap allow
And NO XRECOVERY is not mandatory
If you've rooted your phone busybox should be and would be there

Thanks for that, but a new problem arose when I got the "su" thing going. I finally got super user to allow the action, but now I can't get the "sh /sdcard/app2sd.sh" going. all it says is that I can't open it? Any ideas why? I've seen another thread that's in exactly the same pickle.
Hmmm. I think I just enabled app2sd, but i'm not sure. While I do have that 127 or so MB free on my phone, how do I know what apps are now on my phone and what are on my card? Sorry for being annoyingly curious about this.

Check if there is a folder named SD in your phone /system

I rooted my phone using the Superoneclick you supplied in the other thread, but when i JiT my phone, it's looking for busybox, hmm thats weird
it confirmed that the phone is rooted, and Super user is installed, after applying the root it will automatically install the Busybox in the phone right? but in my case is not there why is that?
sorry for asking too many questions >_< i just want to JiT my phone, and its not working for me

Thanks Suhel! I got app2sd and JIT running now. I suppose I'm just very rusty on cmd knowlegdge and it gave me a few headaches - but I did it, I think.
Had to use sues once though. =( hopefully it'll only be once... ^_^

Install xrecovery
You'll never have to use SEUS again
Unless its for new firmware update
I have 16GB Class 2 Sandisk and it works good. There is sometimes small lag but this is only when an app is loaded into cache, then it is instant after that!
And how can you say that? Just cuz in one of the tutorial of app2SD some Guy said so? Lol
i tried app2sd for a time with ext2 partition. and when i saw in xda that someone tried ext3, i tried too. i have point of comparison
i also read in xda that "of the problems users are having with Apps2SD are caused by the unclean shutdown of the ext2 filesystem, because Android does not unmount it when rebooting or shutting down the system, and there are no tools on the device to fsck the filesystem on boot. Ext3 is journaled and this isn't an issue because the journal will simply replay on boot."
